I will never understand, for the life of me, why James Cromwell won the Emmy for that role, especially against Zachary Quinto. Plus, Lily Rabe not getting nominated at all (for a top three AHS character), Sarah being nominated for "Supporting" Actress, and Jessica not winning for Sister Jude. The Emmys for Asylum were a mess.
And Jessica better at least be nominated for Elsa.

He had his lil experiments, but he KILLED them all in episode 10 for no real reason, he cut off Shelly's legs, and he was in love with SME, but those were all really irrelevant cuz they didn't do much of anything. Most of what he did was arguing with Jude about science vs religion and how well she could take care of anything. And mess @ those Emmys.
And I hope she is. She & Kathy need noms.

No. But an insider, who had actual tea during Freak Show, said Sarah & Denis signed contracts for S5, but that goes unconfirmed. Evan Peters made a hint that could imply he's returning. That's it.

Cromwell did as much as he could with that role and did it damn good. Zachary was great. Lily's continuously payed dust along with Frances. I remember the Emmys for Coven. Frances, Kathy, and Angela all in the same category

Nothing for sure, but Evan made a tweet implying that he's coming back, and Angela, Frances and Kathy have no other commitments that would prevent them from returning.
Lowkey wondering if Lily's show will get canceled so she can come back and snatch a leading role for Hotel. (I feel so horrible for saying that. )
I'm okay with Sarah because she's great and she'll probably have a smaller role anyway because of American Crime Story. Evan hasn't delivered a stand-out performance since Murder House, and it feels like he's only included to be the male love interest, especially in Coven. Denis acts well, but I don't know what he could bring to a fourth season that he hasn't already demonstrated.
I just want more Wes, Finn, Michael, Lily, Frances, Angela and Kathy.

Good thing all of this happens in my current fanfic season.
Though Finn appears in 6 episodes, and Michael/Angela are absent.
Looking @ Emmy noms for Best Miniseries/Movie, and AHS has been nominated for three consecutive seasons, but hasn't won once.
A Gaga with AOTY tea. (Watch Freak Show not get nominated. )
Also, I rewatched most of Freak Show today (kept all episodes recorded on VCR). There were actually a lot of hotel references, and I think even Gaga ones.
Elsa worked at only "the finest hotels" and had her legs cut off in a flashback to Hotel Olympia. Maggie's flashback took place in a hotel. There were other hotel mentions, but I don't think they were meant as hints.
For Gaga, in Episode 13, Dandy planned to perform "Anything Goes" and other Cole Porter songs as part of his act. Elsa also said "Scheiße" a lot throughout the entire season. Not sure if it was a reference, in character or both. It is Ryan Murphy, after all.
Here's some specific parts that I agree with (since I know some of y'all are not keen on reading more than 3 sentences at a time):
Quote:
The reason for me typing this was that I just saw a post on my dash entitled “I just figured out the plot of AHS: Hotel”. No you didn’t. You know one goddamn word about it. You are not Ryan Murphy. You do not work for Ryan Murphy’s writing team. Therefore you have no idea what this season is going to be about.
Quote:
We’ve known about Hotel for three days. And the only thing we do know about it is one single word: “hotel”. That’s it.
Quote:
it’s not going to be H. H. Holmes. It’s not going to be The Shining. It’s not going to be Bates Motel or Psycho. It’s going to be its own damn thing. Will it homage these films? Sure, and most likely. But in small ways. Not exact replicas.
Quote:
It doesn’t have to be H. H. Holmes. It could be literally anything so long as it takes place in a hotel.

Also one more thing: not everything is a hint.
HOWEVER, this does not mean that Ryan does not mess up his shows, cuz he does. I'm expecting messes, because that's what Ryan gives. What I'm not doing is making specific plot predictions cuz that messy as hell.

I mentioned all of these things in the Freak Show thread, before it was even announced that Lady Gaga would star in the 5th season, and I got told I was reaching. Who's reaching now.
I think it was a little obvious, he was either just stanning or, dropping a hint (which I think is very possible now) because it was also the first song off of Cheek to Cheek, and when I heard Cole Porter referenced once, I thought Cheek to Cheek, but didn't really think twice, but then when he said "Anything Goes" I was like Ryan is so a little monster! But now it was a clue!

Cromwell portrayed that character amazingly imo, he deserved that Emmy more than Quinto.
Jessica will of course be nominated, but she'll lose to Frances McDormand

Frances & Kathy LITERALLY being in the MAIN CAST but being put under Supporting Actress.
Since when being in the main cast a reason not to be in Supporting Actress category
