From what we know, it wasn't really a "duet album". Barry just was gonna flat out sell a lot of her unreleased to Drake to make quick cash to keep him eating / his bankrupt label alive, since he could never be able to release the stuff himself.
Drake was then gonna produce the album with E-40 I think, and they were gonna put it out. Drake backed out once everyone lashed him though.
The thing is, Enough Said made her hot for a minute. It got like 15M views (good for a local US R&B Act who hasn't had a hit in a decade). People were also talking about her again.
The album could've sold a maybe 250K-350K. Good enough to keep Blackground's light on, and they could've donated the rest to her foundation / Aaliyah's family since Drake wouldn't have been doing it for the $.
Dunno why they like to deny everything and make everyone who wants to do tributes to her look like the evil ones, they do that every time. With the music, the movies, etc. They like to play victim and it's annoying.
