I mean, the song ain't even anything different for her as it sounds like a tribal version of Diamonds mixed with Princess of China. Like, these gurls give RiRi too much credit. Like, this gurl compared making music to picking clothing at a shop.
Katy her vocal is pretty bad. But at least it ain't Selena / Lana / Madonna / Britney level. Taylor is worse as well. The struggle when she sings, like, how she became the Queen of Pop in America is beyond me.
Stan-goggles down, GaGa's recording of Lush Life is genuinely one of the best the song has. She gives it a sense of magic and her phrasing is wonderful on it. She made it hers.

Yes they were, Super Bowl was mostly lypsinched and she struggled the few times we were supposed to hear her voice, the production was amazing tho, much better than Madonna's, as for the Grammys one, once again a mediocre vocal performance in a song that is not difficult at all to sing.
