Neill Blomkamp is officially directing the new Alien film!

Update: Variety has confirmed that Fox has closed the deal, and that Neill Blomkamp is officially directing the next ALIEN!

It’s hard to know when a filmmaker is teasing his fans, or if he has ulterior motives, but Neill Blomkamp just told his Instagram followers that his next movie will in fact be a new Alien!

As shown below he posted an image with the caption, “Um… So I think it’s officially my next film. #alien”

The internet has been on fire the past few weeks as Blomkamp first teased Fox’s potential interest, and then Sigourney Weaver said she’s ready for battle.

The Alien hype began in January when Blomkamp posted Alien concept art he had been developing for an unsolicited pitch.

The Woman In Balck 2 wasn't as scary as it looks on trailer. The movie is a quality with amazing effects and visualss,but not scary at all...

I needed more kids to die in WIB2. They dropped the ball cause it was amazing visual wise. They focused too much on the love story.

What are the Guinea Pig films like? The reviews for the American one, Bouquet of Guts and Gore, are all amazingly positive, so I'm guessing it's really realistic. What about all the Japanese ones? And what's it even about?

I think they are very disturbing and that says a lot coming from me. I'm not easily shocked but this is worse than Human Centipede, Salo, Matyrs and Cannibal Holocaust. It sticks with you in that bad, horrific way.

Is there any horror film premiering in the upcomings weeks? I hate that in Mexico we are getting them late. Next week will be the Pact II premiere and that movie is from 2013

I would be surprised if I get REC 4 this fall when the movie premiered last October...

The den is actually pretty good, megan is missing is a mess
