"Sasha Fierce" is not fierce at all besides the first four tracks, and even they have not nothing on the B'Day tracks. Just a horrible regression. I dont even consider "Video Phone" or "Ego" fierce. Just urban fodder.

How is it bland and uninspired? I Am is something so fresh & different from Bey. She experimented with sounds she never used before.

This song and video deserved so so so much more. Best song on "Sasha Fierce" and it's timeless. A song that leaked 5 months before the album dropped and still went Top 10 when it was a single.

I did not leave the album feeling like I learned anything about Beyonce or her personal side. Any decent sounding girl could have sung the songs. She sounded lost on the tracks and truly sung with little to no emotion. Experimenting with different sounds dont mean the album is good.

In addition, almost every critic thought that "Sasha Fierce" was better and it still got a 62 on Metacritic - meaning that side alone would have got a lower score. It it just a sore note in her discography.

"If I Were A Boy" was really different and creative for her. It's the only video in her videography like that - where she is not singing along to the words.

I don't think that's true. I personally I felt a connection with Beyoncé listening to the I AM side for the first time. 'Smash Into You', 'Disappear' , 'That's Why You're Beautiful' are all equally so sincere and soft in their own ways. To each their own though.
