Not really. If you take notice each of the others had supporting acts or other performers involved. Bruno had the legendary rock group Red Hot Chili Peppers. Madonna had Nicki (who was blowing up at the time) and indie fave MIA. Katy had Vets Lenny & Missy (ratings spiked during the show). Bey and DC are pretty much one and the same. Fans of hers are usually fans of theirs as well so there is no extra pull there. I think if Bey had DC AND Jay, or maybe Prince, or Tina Turner (not saying this is even possibility just an example since she loves her so much, pay homage) she could've pulled in a million or more viewers. That matchup was uneventful in particular as well. Bey was the most exciting part about the whole SB. She, and the blackout that followed, were pretty much all that was discussed.
