To BEYONce she has 10 albums lol over 200 million records over 500 million dollar your gross most awards ever from a female the biggest selling R&b group of all time she deserves to what ever she wants the creative side of bey has just started and im here for what ever she's bringing I'm ready to grow with her I'm ready bey next stop the grammys !!!!!

I don't even know if it's ego. I don't know what it is, but I do wish she still cared about singles. Like there have been SOOO many missed opportunities. But I honestly think at this point she doesn't want to get any more famous than she already is. And she's definitely already a legend. So I think she's just having fun now, and only doing things she likes like touring and making albums (no more promos or interviews). Personally I blame Jay and Blue Ivy

Sending a song to iTunes at the right time will not take away from her legendary status. Placing her videos on Youtube at the right time doesn't make her a struggling artist. Having radios outside USA play her music doesn't taint her legacy.

Urban radio seems to be enough for her at this point in time.

I think she's content with her legacy, which of course is great. I just hate that she's only 33 and acting like she's retired. She's way too young to be acting like she's reached legend status already, but maybe she feels differently. She's major, but she's no Tina Turner.

Hell.. Tina Turner didn't stop promoting until she was in her 50s or something and her biggest album came out when she was in her 40s.

Exactly. And it's weird because part of the reason we all loved and stanned for Bey was she knew she was great but didn't let it get to her head. She was a mega icon who still had that raw hunger for greatness. That was why she always delivered. That is no longer the case here. This era started off brilliantly because she still had that hunger in her. I just feel like the praise she received from this album inflated her ego so much to the point that all her decisions post Dec 13th have been hit or miss. I mean did you ever think in a million years that you'd ever get a performance like Grammy 2014 from her ever? (Because she figured it was more important to be the surprise of the night than to rehearse). I mean I love 7/11 but that and Ring Off are just examples of what overconfidence does to your music.

It's okay. No point in having people hear your most sonically outstanding material. When she goes back to making Single Ladies/Run The World type stuff, she'll blow it up so people who don't know better can keep saying "She's not that great an artist".
