There is like zero hype for the Soap B0wl half-time basic pre-recorded lipsyncing event. None care. If Taylor or Emeli Sandé was playing then everyone would care.
I like music that stands out in some way. That's why a lot of Rihanna's music is automatically good, because her voice always stands out.
But she sounds like crap singing this, and the song/music itself is the epitome of basic and generic.
Her voice here sounds like it does on a lot of songs she's done (Stay,Lost In Paradise,What Now come to mind) but I guess the vocal delivery she's serving is an acquired taste.
I don't get how people think acoustic music is basic and generic when post pop stars don't delve into it heavily when it comes to single releases. Rihanna has done acoustic versions of her own songs and people liked it but somehow this song sucks in comparison.
