Björk releases promo singles

Late last evening, the Icelandic musician Bjork released two promotional singles for her upcoming 9th studio album release. It's been reported that the record shall be entitled Ekklisis and rumours have been circulating around ever since although nothing's been completely confirmed as of yet. The two promo singles are both respectively called - The Cynics and The Stoics. These tracks apparently go hand in hand as they are both closely linked together in meaning, lyrics and overall sound. What is also interesting is the simple fact that both promotional singles are solely produced by Bjork herself which explains why they flow into each other. The Cynics and The Stoics come just before Bjork is about to announce the release of her second single, which will follow on after lead single Arête, and the official release of her entire album. This week is supposedly going to be a huge week for Bjork and that is definitely reflected in how much promo she has lined up in the coming days. According to sources close to Bjork and her record label Catalyst Falls, it's been alleged that this album will have the biggest promo campaign yet and that we should see more activity from Bjork this year compared to more recent years where she has preferred to lie low instead of putting herself out there into the spotlight. Bjork doesn't take that well to the immense pressure from the media which is why she's rarely ever seen out in public. Having said that, this is soon to change due to there being plans for an MTV reality show to raise Bjork's profile and awareness in America where she now resides - New York City, to be exact. The show is currently being scheduled to coincide with Bjork's album release this week and it'll feature quite a number of tracks throughout, including the two promotional singles that were just released yesterday - The Cynics and The Stoics.
Bjork is heavily inspired by Ancient Greek philosophy this era and everything that has got to do with the human spirit, feelings and other introspective topics that are more secluded in nature compared to her most recent album - Biophilia - which had more to do with space and external factors. Hence why The Cynics and The Stoics refer to infamous schools of Ancient Greek philosophy that gained notoriety ever since. These schools were the school of Cynicism and the school of Stoicism. They both share the common theme of "living according to nature". However, that's where most of the similarities stop. Cynicism is more individualistic while Stoicism isn't. Nevertheless, they are both expressions of materialism but just expressed in different ways. In common speech today, being stoic essentially means quietly enduring hardship or pain without any complaints. Meanwhile, being cynical means denying that anything matters or that anyone is honest. Bjork has recently confirmed these definitions through her Twitter with many surprisingly retweeting and favouriting the tweets. In retrospect, we must admit that Bjork has quite a respectable and sizeable online following who definitely support her every step of the way in everything that she does and might do in the distant future.
The Cynics and The Stoics are both great introductions to Bjork's style, especially the style that she has going on for this era. They each talk about the same topic, however, presented in different ways in order to represent each school of Ancient Greek philosophy. The Cynics is a bolder track with an almost taunting tone. It's hysterical at points as the insane production accompanies Bjork's wails. It's definitely the "evil twin" of the duo although The Cynics can also be quite serene at times which is necessary for the track to create an impact later on, with the spontaneous middle eight being one of the highlights. The Stoics, in stark comparison, is more laidback and almost eerily serene. It's definitely ignorant to just classify it as the "boring" one since that's part of its own charm. The track definitely has the potential to shape Bjork's ever eclectic style with its musings and intricate production. The Stoics is anthemic in its own resolute but is still pleasing to the ears with a orchestraic-like production. Both tracks definitely go hand-in-hand and signify the two halves of Bjork's upcoming album.

Bjork releases second single, Evangeline

Length: 4:47
Writer(s): Bjork, Kate Bush
Producer(s): Guy Sigworth, Bjork
Genre(s): Experimental Folk/New Wave
At midnight, Bjork officially released her second single Evangeline which is going to be featured on her 9th studio album - Ekklisis. The record is also expected for a timely release sometime in the coming days so definitely watch this space for that one! Evangeline is a step in new territory for the Icelandic musician as she delves into a hysterical track reminiscent of Vespertine's soothing nature and Homogenic's perseverance. The second single - Evangeline - is presented in a way where Bjork is singing to this Evangeline caricature although it's most likely just a metaphorical representation of who or even what she's actually talking about. You could even interpret Bjork being Evangeline, however, like many songs by Bjork, it isn't as easy as that to decipher each meaning and every note that comes out from the tip of her elongated tongue. The song could almost be fitting for a fairy inspired Disney movie headed by Tinkerbell albeit with a rather sadistic twist. It's so whimsical... it's just really ****ing depressing which we seem to love! Evangeline is definitely one of those songs that would catapult an artist to new heights and, in Bjork's case, we can see this doing exceptionally well especially in terms of her standards. She has recently released two promotional singles for this week's album campaign. They are both affectionately called The Stoics and The Cynics. The two tracks are very closely linked to each other which makes perfect sense as to why Bjork would choose them to launch the era. These promotional singles, alongside Evangeline, are set to tear up the charts as soon as Bjork decides to drop her 2015 LP release on us.
The airy, flaky second single is heavily drenched with this common thread of resentment. Bjork, her voice overflown with a confused mess of emotions, is yearning for an answer from Evangeline. She's literally begging Evangeline to assure her that things will get better and that she hasn't been forgotten. If you didn't know, Evangeline supposedly signifies the "messenger of good news" so it definitely feels like Bjork didn't luck out here which is confirmed by her distressed and sometimes hysterical state throughout the Guy Sigworth produced song. Evangeline is woven with delightful trills from an organ piano mirroring that of a ballad even though its tempo is more driven than that. It's hard to categorise such a song. Nevertheless, it does contain elements of experimental folk and new wave which has been gaining popularity in more recent years ever since it was conceived back in the 70s. The music video for Evangeline is said to be the highest budget production yet this year so that's definitely something to look forward to! There are many paths Bjork could take with this second single. Bjork has actually experienced a number of leaks this month but not to worry! These leaks aren't from anything on her 9th studio album - Ekklisis. They're all, in actual fact, early demos of past songs in her discography and some unreleased stuff. Ekklisis is still being kept tightly under wraps, that's for sure!
Radio has already picked up the flaky song with more stations expected to add Evangeline onto their playlists in the coming weeks. The second single is doing great amounts for Bjork's exposure, specifically in America where she's lesser known compared to that of Europe etc. There is definitely a market out there for Bjork but it all comes down to whether Bjork really wants it and whether her management team/record label are competent enough to follow through with this impending promo campaign for her 9th studio album - Ekklisis. The carefree yet cast down track - Evangeline - is a fantastic way for Catalyst Fall Records to introduce Bjork as an established and well respected artist in the music industry. Not many people know of her expect for Bjork's secluded fanbase which could later become a blessing in disguise since people aren't expecting much from her in the first place. This could be beneficial towards her image, sound and how she's overall marketed in the United States and across the globe as well. Evangeline has the potential to elevate her career while still retaining that Bjork flavour we all have come to love.
Bjork's second single, Evangeline, is now available for PURCHASE.

'Fall Out (Feat. Jay-Z)' Released as single+'Once' & 'Distant Horizon' As promotional Singles
719 Words
Cara Delevingne just announced the third single promoting her latest album 'Distant Horizon' by posting both a letter for her fans on Instagram and a Lyric video for the song on her VEVO account .
The letter:
"Hey guys, Thank you for being so supportive of me and my last album 'DIstant Horizon'. I have a very tight schedule so I only have one more week to promote the original 'Distant Horizon', as next week, the promotion for the re-release of 'Distant Horizon' which also will serve as the official 50 Shades of Grey Soundtrack will start.
After a few hours of discussion, both me and my label have chosen 'Fall Out' to be the 3rd single from the album and was immediately sent to radios. We chose the song because it features Jay-Z who's just a legend, and has been getting a lot of airplay both on Urban Radio and on other radio stations. The song is also one of my favorite ones on the album and has been charting within the ITunes top 50 ever since the album's release. After I post this message, you guys will also get to watch the lyrics video of the song which will be available on my VEVO account. So don't forget to watch the lyrics video, buy the song on itunes and stream it on spotify!
Along with 'Fall Out as single both 'Once' and 'Distant Horizon' as promotional singles. This means that the songs will be made available on Spotify and other streaming services just like the other singles (unlike album tracks), they will get music videos and will both be promoted on ITunes and on commercials on tv. However they won't be sent to radios."
The lyrics video which was later posted on VEVO, has been gaining a lot of views within the last few minutes. The lyrics video shows the lyrics being written in various fonts while black and white clips of a camera advancing throughout a forest plays.
'Fall Out' follows 'La Belle' and 'Honey' both which were Top 3 hits as the third single from 'Distant Horizon', both songs also reached platinum status and have had great chart runs, 'La Belle' peaking at number 2 while 'Honey' peaked at number 3. Both videos of the songs also are Vevo certified after they have been watched over 100 million times, 'Honey' even reaching 300 million views and without counting the extra Remix music video which featured Tinashe, Azealia Banks, Rita Ora and Stromae which has reached 80 million views over the past few days. Cara Delevingne's era seems to be going pretty well and 'Fall Out ' is expected to follow the same route and reach the top 3 as predicted by many music experts, which would make this Cara's fifth top 3 single.
The song also received a radio deal, made thanks to her very supportive label, Variety records. The deal includes constant plays for the single on various radio stations in the US, UK, France and Japan where the song will be played every hour on every major radio station in every country.
Both promotional singles 'Once' and 'Distant Horizon' also had lyric videos posted on Cara's VEVO and official music videos for the promotional singles are set to premier and Cara is also set to perform each promotional single at least once on TV.
Cara performed 'Fall Out' multiple times in the past few weeks which helped the song build some sort of small hype surrounding it and radios had already picked it up and started playing it, which helped to previously have the song peak inside the Top 10 on ITunes on the album's release week and later reached the 17th position on ITunes in a later week. The song also previously peaked at #37 on the Billboard Hot 100 which is amazing for an album-track. Sending the song to the radios will surely help the song reach an even higher peak. Cara has expressed a lot of love for the song during past interviews. Cara Delevingne's album 'Distant Horizon' featuring the smash hit singles 'La Belle', 'Honey' and 'Fall Out' is now available digitally and physically. Don't forget to purchase tickets to Cara's stadium tour the Distant World Tour which has been selling out in many huge stadiums around the world.

Cara performs at the Good Morning America Winter Concert Series
716 Words
Cara Delevingne has appeared multiple times on Good Morning America over the past few weeks however she just did an appearance on the show's Winter Concert series, which means she performed a whole concert on TV promoting her new album 'Distant Horizon' along with the hit singles 'La Belle', 'Honey' and 'Fall Out', and hyping up the album's re-release which will also serve as the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack. "See me live on Good Morning America for one of their Winter Series Concert in only 30 minutes!" said Cara on Twitter right before appearing on the show.
During the show in Central Park which was attended by thousands and watched by millions, Cara not only sang some of her biggest hits such as 'Magazine', 'Explicit', 'La Belle', 'Honey' and 'Fall Out', she also sang a snippet of a brand new song which is apparently appearing on Cara's Distant Horizon Re-release. She also brought on stage Nick Jonas, for a duet of Nick's song 'Chains' which was extended and during which Cara added lyrics which made twitter go wild as it was rumored that Cara and Nick had either included the duet on Cara's re-release or that they had a song together. Cara wore a black studded leotard which looked luxurious and sexy.
The show started off with a performance of 'Honey', Cara's latest top 3 single. The song's performance was toned down compared to other performances of the song as the performance didn't feature any real sexual inuendo and just regular dance moves which Cara did amazingly well. The 'Chains' duet with Nick Jonas followed up during which Cara and Nick were along on stage up to the breakdown during which dancers wearing leather outfits started doing a tribal dance on stage to the beat of the song. Cara's singles 'Magazine', 'Explicit' and 'La Belle' all which included large performances with many different dancers. Following was Cara's brand new song snippet, which she sang alone on stage without any theatrics. She sang the 30 seconds snippet in a ballad form but she later confirmed that the song slow but not exactly a ballad either through Twitter after the concert. To end the concert she sang her three currently promoted songs 'Distant Horizon', followed by 'Once' and ended the show with an epic performance of 'Fall Out' during which Jay-Z also appeared on stage to rap his verse.
After the show ended, the Good Morning America Host ran up on stage holding her microphone and started talking to Cara.
Host: Good Morning Cara! You were great this morning, how are you feeling here, right now in the middle of New York?
Cara: I'm having the time of my life really. I'm on tour right now and I'm writing some songs for my next album and it's all really fun really. I also am performing two concerts from the tour here in New York City, it's at the Yankee Stadium and my manager just called me to say that the shows are completely sold out. I'm so thankful about all those tickets sold and all those people attending!
Host: Would you ever stop performing or just doing music?
Cara: Not really. Now that I've started I don't think I'll ever really stop. I want to perform until I die.
Host: You're doing the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack which will be released soon, anything you can tell us about that?
Cara: Yeah, the album will have a second disk now, which will feature all those tracks. They all sort of fit the movie so well, I tried as much as possible to follow the storyline of the movie.
Videos of the performances of 'La Belle', 'Honey', 'Fall Out', 'Distant Horizon' and 'Once' were uploaded to Cara's VEVO but multiple videos of the other performances were uploaded to Youtube including a video of the snippet of the new sing, the snippet was taken down within minutes which added up to the mystery behind it. Cara Delevingne's album 'Distant Horizon' is now available along with it's hit singles 'La Belle' and 'Honey' both which were certified platinum and reached the Top 3 and Cara also recently tweeted the album cover of her re-release just a few days ago, which was confirmed to be out on the 8th of February.

Surprise baes! In addition to releasing the new single, “Make Me Numb”, Céline Dion has put her highly-anticipated album ‘#TurntUp2: Le Unreal Slayáge’ up for pre-order on iTunes amongst other digital retailers around the globe. Both the standard and deluxe edition have been placed for pre-sale, with the standard containing twelve tracks and the deluxe adding three extra- shaping up to be fifteen. According to Revolution Records, Dion will be releasing a deluxe edition for physical copies of the album only, containing even three extra tracks- which is finalized to eighteen. And to treat physical-buyers even more, the standard edition of the physical copy will contain the fifteen tracks that is the digital deluxe. The album release date has also been revealed- Valentine’s Day, February 14th.
The second single, “Make Me Numb”, is an R&B gem produced by StarGate (responsible for Tinashe’s “Feels Like Vegas”). With co-writing credits including Tinashe, Dawn Richard, Jermaine Jackson and Nathaniel Hill- a brand-new Urban / Rhythmic smash has been born. Featuring a more commercial, falsetto R&B tone in Dion’s vocal, many are calling “Make Me Numb” her best track vocally- and overall more superior to the elusive, unconventional lead single that was “Pu$$y Be Flamin’”. The single received the main banner on iTunes, as well as the main spot under ‘Hot Tracks’ on iTunes- Céline looks for massive commercial success and redemption with this track. And with multiple insiders listening to the album- it’s confirmed that this era around, Céline takes nothing lightly musically and isn’t playing around anymore with commercial consistency.

Xtina releases fourth single, Karmasutra

Length: 3:59
Producer(s): Rick Rubin
Writer(s): Christina Aguilera
Genre(s): Hip Hop/Dance/R&B
Yesterday evening, Christina Aguilera officially released the fourth single from her experimental record - Truth Pill. The track is called Karmasutra and is a slick upbeat R&B inspired midtempo with a sultry stare. It's produced by the world renowned Hip Hop beatmaker Rick Rubin. The song - Karmasutra - sounds like something straight out of the 80s with an early 2000s fusion and a modern twist. It is sure to inject some momentum into Christina's current era as she finishes the first leg of The Naked Truth World Tour. The single's release came as a bit of a surprise since many assumed that Christina would continue the promotional campaign for third single Amethyst Bleach especially after the "hiatus" she took last week. Having said that, this seemingly appears to not be the case at all with a bunch of performances and endorsements being lined up to ensure that Karmasutra reaches the best of its potential as the third single from an already widely successful album in 2015. It is absolutely essential for Karmasutra to make an impact, not just on the charts, but also in the general music industry because otherwise the rest of Christina Aguilera's Truth Pill era might completely end prematurely which is definitely something we aren't looking forward to and should prevent from ever happening. Nevertheless, Christina's 8th studio album - Truth Pill - is already a surefire success and we expect Karmasutra's official single release to only elevate those standards met earlier on in the era. There's no word yet from Christina's management team or record label as to whether Karmasutra will be the last single off of Truth Pill and signify its end. However, The Naked Truth World Tour that Christina is doing in order to promote the Paul Epworth produced record isn't going to end any time soon - at least until early 2016. This could be a hint that there will be lots more to come from Truth Pill so that's definitely a great thing in terms of longevity!
Karmasutra is actually a play on words and a portmeantu of the words "karma" and "kamasutra". Karma is pretty self explanatory while kamasutra is the term typically used to represent someone's sex life ever since a book was published under the same name which is where the term initially originated from. Kamasutra is especially linked closely to Buddhism which is a religion rife in many parts of Asia. Throughout the song itself, Christina's singing about her lover who she hasn't seen in ages and is thinking about them while they're off probably enjoying themselves without her. The verses are pretty tied down to this concept at hand. In comparison, the chorus is more rebellious with Christina taunting her lover with the act of adultery which is obviously where the song title comes in - Karmasutra. The song is very sultry with R&B undertones but it still has a strong, dance-y identity which is something especially new for Rick Rubin who is known for his more urban productions. Having said that, at the song's core, it is still very much a Hip Hop track laced with other interesting influences that has created an incredible body of work. Karmasutra is entirely written by Christina Aguilera although she composed it with the help of Rick Rubin who produced the entirety of it. They seem to work pretty well together which shines through Karmasutra's amazing and stellar execution, as a whole. The lyrics are incredibly thorough with many metaphorical analogies being used throughout. It teases and tantalises the listener, almost reminiscent of a "luring" tune that a snake charmer would charm a snake through a simple melody played on a soothing flute. It's definitely got an edge of its own but its now as glaringly obvious as its predecessor, Amethyst Bleach. Radio is expected to pick up this concoction of various flavours in the coming days so definitely watch out for Karmasutra on our favourite station! This single is expected to "make waves" throughout the music industry, that's for sure. There are also many rumours circulating around the online stratosphere that a remixes EP for the slick fourth single - Karmasutra - is apparently in the works. We'll keep you guys updated once more information arises soon after Christina begins her promotion for Karmasutra.

Carlos, you can't release 3 remix singles and a remix EP in ONE ARTICLE. It's a stretch to release 3 remix singles ALONE, but you should write different articles for each of them, and a separate one for the remix EP. I'm hesitant to let it count this week...
