I've never understood that. Completely disregarding or not caring about race doesn't mean a person can't still be a racist. I think people who are truly above being racist can acknowledge and celebrate differences. A person's race isn't something rude that should be kept silent.
To answer the OP's question, I was prejudiced towards white people. While I don't hold all white people responsible for the many atrocities committed throughout history and currently, I have no interest in making the distinction between racist whites and non-racist whites because my narrative doesn't revolve around making white people comfortable.
