“Baby Don’t Lie” would have easily been a contender for my #1 song of 2014 if it had been released earlier in the year. Amazingly, it still manages to snatch the #6 position on my year-end chart despite being released in mid-October. I’ve never been slayed by a Gwen Stefani song like this before, and I really wish this song had seen a lot more success. The production is flawless and Gwen’s voice sounds better than ever before. Slay me, Gwen.

I honestly thought this would have been a contender for #1 as well. Maybe some of the negative comments about Iggy have finally started getting to me, but “Fancy” remains an undeniable bop. Honestly, I didn’t like “Fancy” very much at all when it premiered on UK radio, but this song grew on me tremendously, especially when the flawless music video was released. “Fancy” marks Iggy’s best rank on my year-end countdown after “Bounce” placed at #6 in 2013.

10-7: Rather Be is the best EDM track of 2014. Problem was a bop but quite unbearable now to listen to these days. Dark Horse slaying as it should. FGL, no. Just no.
