Also, all of our threads had a previous incarnation if you use the search function, so none of us really did a whole lot of creative thinking. I think mine being for the "good of the community" is what helped it; keep in mind that 3 of the judges are mods.

there is literally nothing innovative, interesting or original about any threads here.

Citrus deserved his top callout with iHype in the bottom two. If he wasn't, then it's debatable. But now, I mean, Citrus' top callout count will be the key and toppling factor to his impending win no matter how well Vesp and Marq perform with the Speech or whatever's next, s2s. His biggest threat just got eliminated with no clear explanation besides a secondary "not very original" point which everyones thread besides Marq was a victim of. Am also perched for the clear up.

Umm, Marq's thread was unoriginal as well. x x
Like I told y'all EVERYONE's was unoriginal, smh if originality was a factor in the judging
Nothing against Marq, but 2 people have said it tonight so I just had to speak out

I can't say anything without knowing what went on with each individual judge, but I wonder how they decided that Vespertine's record was more impressive than iHype's (love you Vesp!). Moving on from that, why is this a democracy? Matty is the host. If Tyra wants to kick off a bitch she does it. I think this is a moment where Matty could have justifiably said "Oop!" and overruled the other judges.

Definitely. It's very very rare to find a completely original thread on the forum these days. I've seen previous variations of all of the entries for this challenge.

Here's the thing. As we move forward in the competition, we stop looking mostly solely on the challenge at hand but more on overall work as well. This elimination and the few previous ones laid heavily on overall work.
In the past few challenges I asked the judges to rank you all from who should most likely stay to who should most likely go and that helped based on who should go. This challenge I gave scenarios of each one of you pit up against each other, asking if these two are in the bottom two then bold the name you want to stay in the competition. Each of the judges bolded names were quite shocking to me from what I originally thought they'd be. Now for this challenge it was up against Vespertine and iHype obviously, the big shock. Excluding my vote, the results were 3 to 1 in favor of Vespertine staying. For my vote, in these cases when it came down to it, is always the person who has done the best overall based on the total scores from all the challenges. In this case my vote should have gone to Vespertine, yes Vespertine had the better overall scores compared to iHype. It was only by two points though, not much though. I however went against it and switched my vote to iHype. Nothing against Vespertine, I'm just being serious here. However, that still meant 3 to 2 in favor of Vespertine. I didn't ask the judges why, so if they are willing to come forward and provide an explanation they are welcome.
iHype, you were wondering if it was a miscalculation or something. It wasn't a miscalculation. I use Excel and it does all the calculating for me.
Like I'm just as shocked as most of you are, but here is the thing about this game; I listen to the other judges. I'm not the sole judge. Even though I make the final decision because I am the host, I still try my hardest to do what I think is best and listen to what the judges think. If anyone ever gets the chance to put their feet in my shoes, host a competition with judges, you will feel how difficult this can be. But in the true end, whatever happens someone is going to be eliminated. Someone is going to be angry/sad/defeated/etc. It's just the way the game works.
In a nutshell, I can't give exact reasoning why the votes were against iHype. Like the licks to get to the center of a tootsie pop, the world may never know. The reason for the elimination was based on judges, and since it was close, how well you did on the challenge.

I've done it before, and got the backlash from the judges like ya'll are reacting to iHype's elimination. In stuff like this where an elimination is this close and dramatic, no one is going to be truly happy in either situation.
Also, like I said in my novel, until your in my position with other judges word to consider; one truly doesn't understand. Sometimes I'm still trying to understand, but that's the way things work.

This is very true, honestly. When I hosted The Photoshop Game, the judges would sometimes have completely different opinions on how good an entry was. A few times, one judge's score completely changed the outcome, resulting in someone getting eliminated, which I personally did not agree with.

But of course I can relate when I hosted the hit, genre-defying smash game The Sleaze.
Seriously, though, I get what you're saying; you didn't make all the calls. Thanks for addressing things.

ddd;; Matty sister. You basically just explained again how me going home panned out. I want to know the judges reasons as to why they thought I had the worst entry. I mean I already know they voted against me and gave me low scores which is why am on the plane home. I guezz we have to wait for them to come & explain.

Not me being in a boat with MimiLamb. This is too much for one night.

I understand where you're coming from, Matty. It's situations like these where you just can't make everyone happy.
iHype, you had a great run.
