This song's performance in NZ is such a mess. About a month or two ago it charts on the official NZ chart at #31, then falls hard on iTunes within the #100 - #180 position and now it has skyrocketed back into the top 40 on iTunes again.
I have never seen a label push a song so much even after the public completely reject it time after time. After it failed to chart ANYWHERE despite a video they should have quickly moved on to a new single or scheduled an emergency session with Dr. Luke. This track has literally ruined her career.

I feel weird liking this song.
It's not the greatest song or Grammy material but too many people jumped on the hate bandwagon and that happened because of it flopping

Ignorant The song has held up surprisingly on radio, there's no "rush releasing" a new single because it didn't necessarily BOMB. It just didn't smash. She worked with Luke but he was a douche bag (she tweeted something disgusting he said) so their work didn't make it to the album.

i agree. i think people take this song too seriously, its meant to be stupid and fun. Of course it doesnt compare to her other songs, but it has a hook and is catchy, so I dont know why it flopped.
I heard this on the radio today and only just realised that the radio edit has different lyrics. WTF is with "getting loud and getting laced" and "rollercoaster 'til we die"?
