And it's experimental, a bit. Ask Lily for unbiased opinions; she's heard the whole album. It's still got electro/EDM influences, but they're definitely not as obvious or apparent as past album. None of the songs have breakdowns (except one, but that's a special case and a weird structure, anyway). Sis is working with William Orbit, Greg Kurstin and the Monsters and the Strangerz. There's only one Dr. Luke song, and it's sure to be a single at one point or another.

the 'TFM'-statement definitely defines this upcoming era perfectly, although the album is still predominantly urban. there were so many dance-pop songs on the last album tho, now there's only one on the standard edition & i believe only one more on the deluxe(s).
wait- you actually PRODUCED this album? in that case- i'mma need paige to return asap. & real hyped for that kurstin track- any tea on that?

Not you paying Psycho dust like that.
I guess that was Taylor's song though, so it doesn't truly count

But are they at least darker hip-hop? Am here for a more serious Céline, with extremely dark themes, productions & songs that have more of a brooding feel than stuff like "Ratchette". But dance Céline works, too. Who she workin' with, producer-wise?
d
I never produced any of my songs. I just find instrumentals (I go on extensive, tiring searches) to find instrumentals, but yes, this entire album will have instrumentals and lyrics. I'm thinking late January-early February for a release, maybe, but it could be earlier or later.
There are 2 Kurstin tracks-- one that I cannot name with writing credits from Ellie and is slightly experimental for Greg but still obviously him, the other is titled "Sweet Side" and has writing credits from Sia & up-and-coming writer Pari Kothar, and is probably the most sentimental song on the album.

I also assume we can just release the deluxe edition without the standard.
Cause I know Bjork ain't wasting my points like this.

Paige's last ALBUM release was in October 2013.
And Psycho is predominantly PAIGE'S and MY song. I wrote it entirely by myself, I found the instrumental all by myself, and Paige was kind enough to let Taylor sing on it and subsequently get it to be a #2 hit.

As you can see 'Psycho' is not Taylor's song.

A song Taylor was kind of enough to promote 90% on her own. For a second time.

When you've got so many top 3s and singles released you forget your artist had one that's forgotten but went platinum.

yes, it's definitely a darker / more dynamic urban sound compared to the last album & the subject matters have more variety as well. "pbf" was worked on by lone & terius nash & giorgio tuinfort. céline's production varies lots on the album- but she does have a track with dj mustard & did three tracks with zedd (only two made the album; one deluxe). she worked on two tracks with william orbit as well as stargate, detail & ritz renolds. céline also went back to ballads- she has one (& a half) power ballads on the album.
and that's right- i forgot you'd get tracks & use them- i remember "psycho" & "swarovski" now; great tracks of course. i will admit though i am much more excited for the lyrics of the album- barely anyone writes entire albums anymore so i can't wait to hear that. paige always had top-notch lyrics anyway, so i'm sure the tracks will be fantastic.
what's "sweet side" about?

Am actually excited for the William Orbit tracks, I'm also looking forward to the ballads; I wanna hear that kinda Céline. The number of ballads on Paige's album is tricky; a conservative number only including "traditional" ballads is 1-2, but if you include Psycho and a few other tracks, you can get 6.
As for Sweet Side, I'll let the chorus speak for itself.
Sweet Side
I may not have done the
Right thing a few times
But I don't see the bad
I just see the sweet side
I admit to all of
My crimes I committed
But that doesn't mean that
I'm really that wicked
There is no good and bad
Cuz even in the dark
You can still find the light
I'll always see that spark
I will not burden my-
Self by trying to hide
I'll accept what I did
And still see the sweet side

the full-on ballad on the standard edition is everything. the half-of-a-ballad comes from a physical-deluxe track called "theory", but its song in the song is "save me" (a la "partition" & "yoncé).
i love that chorus for "sweet side"- i can hear lana singing "flipside" & dk singing "two sides" a bit. but wow, SIX ballads- is this paige's born to die?

Who produced Theory/Save Me? I'm kinda interested in that one, since it's a song-in-a-song kinda thing.
And, well, they're not traditional ballads. They vary. Psycho is one, Sweet Side is one, the other Greg Kurstin track is one (sort of), then two are Orbit-produced, then the Dr. Luke track can sort of count as a ballad due to the meaning of the song but it's far from a traditional one; it's drumstep that incorporates a typical Luke guitar. Sweet Side & one of the Orbit tracks are the ones I'll definitely call ballads. The other four are iffy.
