Ugh Katy is the lamest pop star everrrrr! Weak music, weak voice, weak live act--weak in all areas and it makes me sad for the people who actually look up to her as a generation defining pop star. There is anticipation, of course she wasn't a hype queen when she was releasing yearly. Even one of my best friends who absolutely hated Rihanna asked me why hasn't she released new music in so long.

Rihanna is a singles artist.. This is a fact. Nobody has ever talked about her this year apart from black Twitter when she wore that sparkly nude dress in June. She had some momentum, I'll give you that, but it has died down by now.

@ being a singles artist with +30M albums sold. @ being a singles artist with a 9M and 6M seller, being a singles artist with yearly 3-4M releases.
Let me tell you what a singles artist is. I live in Romania and here literally most of the artists puts out ONLY singles, without even releasing albums.
It's sad, and those are singles artists, not Rihanna.

Black Twitter only talked about it. There are tons of articles about it. Even @ the AMA's when this girl went dressed like that was compared to Rihanna.

Yeah, don't really get the whole singles artist thing anymore. It's like calling Beyoncé local. Literally all modern day pop girls have higher single sales than album sales. Plus, Rihanna can actually go platinum, unlike people like Ariana, Iggy, Flo Rida, Jason Derulo, Pitbull, etc who sell millions of singles but can't even go gold.
