You didn't back up your argument though. You contradicted yourself and thus undermined your initial wild claim.
You just admitted that you haven't spoken to people in your (COLLEGE) dorm about 1989. Without speaking to them, then you simply cannot know whether they have bought a particular album or not. Therefore your previous statement that only 5 out of 600 people in your dorm bought 1989 has been successfully refuted by your own following post.
Congratulations! Most atrl posters who spout rubbish usually rely on someone else exposing their dishonesty. Not many do it to themselves. Well done. That's quite an interesting posting strategy.
I think perhaps the concept of anecdotal evidence is something you still need to study up on though.
