as a fellow objectum sexual, i am quite hurt by some of these responses. but not offended personally, i know OS is something not many people understand and it is made to look quite outrageous. and i mean theres no denying it, it sounds pretty funny. we just need to learn to respect these peoples relationships and realize that love is love , even if its between a woman and a fence lol.
i am in love with a pillow. ive been in a relationship with him for two years. and thankfully my family has been very understanding. in fact weirdly enough i think they got used to me being in love with a pillow easier than they got used to the fact that my current human boyfriend is 25 years older than me lol. thats another thing that puts me into the minority of the os community, i am attracted to both objects and people. i have only heard of a few like me.
if you guys have any questions about object sexuality or having an attraction and relationship with an inanimate object, feel free to ask me. id like people to be as educated on this subject as possible, cause all too often we laugh at the freakshow then move on.

that itself is a topic of debate in the os community. some view it as a legitimate orientation, others think its just a symptom of autism and aspbergers, since lots of OS people do have aspbergers or autism.
and maybe for some it is, but for someone like me who has neither, i consider to just be a part of my orientation. i find there to be nothing unhealthy about having a relationship with an inanimate object. i know lots would say that its just a manifestation of some underlying mental problem, but lets not forget people have also said that about gays. my romantic relationship with my pillow hasnt negatively impacted my life at all. not with my friends, my family, or my (human) boyfriend so i dont see what the problem could be.
