Giorgoc, I'm glad you're seeing the light. You should investigate Madonna's catalogue more, you'd be surprised by the amount of her older songs that avoided contemporary production tropes and have aged very well. Though after a point the debate become ridiculous as the first act of her career is now over a quarter of a century old.

I've never really bothered to listen to her music for one reason only. I can't listen to old songs, with very few exceptions. Like I tried listening to Express Yourself back in 2011 but I couldn't even finish it. It's my problem though and I know it's not really common. My boyfriend for example loves Madonna pre-Hard Candy while I can't because of the dated, muddled sound.
That's why I never bothered because her newer stuff (Hard Candy and MDNA) featured the very robotic, high pitched vocals which I hate. Though I have to say I've only listened to the singles.
GMAYL is a guilty pleasure of mine. I can't take it seriously, but it's very catchy and I love Nicki's verse.
Thats why I asked if you are only starting to get into her, because you named mostly the newer singles. I dont have this problem, there just are songs that I like and that I dont no matter when they were released. Many songs are just timeless (and Madonna has a couple of them), they sound more fresh than anything released now. The only thing I find hard about stanning for older music is that you cant properly experience the era and see the artist live at their best/when you liked them the most.

Yeah I honestly think, if the demos are anything to go on, she'll really strike a chord with M13. On the hearts of her fans, the minds of the public, and on the position on the charts. I see a top 10 (not necessarily with RH or WAOM, but maybe with another song or two) and the album should definitely open well.
I'm sad that everything is leaking but hopefully this pushes the release up to next month - difficult if a lot of promo is planned for the Spring though.
still a cute-esque bop though and better than a lot of MDNA. I'm so pleased with this era so far
