I love the fact that Britney made two of the most important decisions in her career singlehandedly.
1) Choosing "...Baby One More Time" from all of the demos that she heard and coming up with the schoolgirl outfit/bored at school theme for the music video. Could you have imagine if she had went for Jive's superhero/Power Ranger theme?

2) Choosing "Toxic" to be the second single from
In The Zone. "Toxic" is one of her biggest and most critically acclaimed hits and was a defining moment in her career, and had it not been released she would probably be Grammy-less right now. Good thing Jive didn't get their way with "Outrageous" and "(I Got That) Boom Boom."
And these are just two of many examples. People like to say that Britney has had no say as far as her career is concerned, but she has probably made more decisions than a lot of other pop girls. People can claim that their fave has 1,000,000 writing credits, but has he/she made as many crucial decisions as Britney has throughout her career? Britney wouldn't be here had she not overruled Jive and axed that Power Ranger music video from the very beginning, so how can people say that she was a label puppet when her label almost ruined her career?
Just something I was thinking about.
