It does, but I don't see how it could have extended after season 1 or the first half of season 2. Most of the suspects were deemed innocent as far as I remembered. It felt more like a miniseries. I'm not sure what happened after that.

The first season had like three good episodes, sorry. It dragged on and didn't know what to do for most of its runtime so it plummed into unnecessary sub-plots and got filled with red herrings. That is not good.
