Ok so I've got the groundwork layer out for my song. Ive written it too, but it will be subject to review with a fine comb.
It's an empowerment song that starts off telling a horrid and depressing story, but quickly lifts to empowerment and encouragement in the chorus. I tried to take a different road to the usual empowerment song as a risk I saw that I needed to take to perhaps distinguish myself a little bit.

Thought I'd post this here. Just me singing a rough acapella of a song I wrote called "Out of Your Orbit" (loudly). Be merciful to my subpar vocals - but I thought I'd post this there so people could see how I wrote since I know I don't post the songs I've sent in. I would, I just didn't do it in r2 because my song format was weird and since then I've just been too lazy to post the rest.

That would be good. I'm thinking kinda the first song on the average pop album where it goes from being frivolous to being more serious, midtempo, and maybe reflective on the past or something. Using my fave as an example, kinda like the The One That Got Away or Ghost, although it doesnt have to be that slow or serious
