Everyone is so harsh on GaGa without any reason.
She sold 200k and her album is far from being done.
For an unknown artist she's selling great, even though she has a hit singe [which is starting to effect the sales in a great way now btw].
Alot of known artists don't even sell 200k with a hit single, like Jesse Mccartney.
PCD sales are not that far from GaGa and they had an opening numbers that were more than twice higher than GaGa.
She's not anywhere near stopping and Poker Face is on it's way to become a hit too.
Katy Perrt's sales weren't that high in the US and it took the album a long time to hit gold and her album was released when IKAG was @ 1 already if I remember right [And it was 1 for a long time...].
Just Dance wasn't even Top 10 when The Fame was out, damn I don't think it was even Top 20.

I said since 2004 and the HDD prediction article you just posted says the same thing. Thriller spent 30+ weeks at #1 in the 80's and JLP spent 11 weeks at #1 in the 90's.
