No, streaming generates at least a small amount of revenue whereas piracy doesn't. The argument is that when there's near-universal adoption of streaming there would be enough revenue to make it worth it, but we haven't reached that point yet.
The entire point of on-demand streaming is that you're able to repeat the songs you like that aren't played on radio, as well as the ones that are if that's what you want to listen to.
I think there should just be a "donate" or "tip" option in streaming services where you can pay for a track/album.
I prefer albums sales the way they used to. I understand the commercial implications, I just need an excuse to be against streamings.
