So I just realized Carrie's quite smart. When the GH is released, all copies sold of the album will count because there are two discs. In order for this to happen, the double album needs to exceed an hour and forty minutes of recorded material. The overall time span of this album is 1 hour, 40 minutes, 10 seconds.

Carrie knew what she was doing when she put the Mama's Song tape on the album. It wasn't because she actually cares about us, but because she wants her album to be certified Gold when only 250,000 copies are sold.

Not really, but it'll work like Shania Twain's Up!.

There were only 5.5M "Discs" sold, but because there's two it counts as 11M "Units" sold.

When the album passes 500,000 copies sold, yes it can be certified platinum because technically there are 1,000,000 discs being shipped.
