Here's the tea on the Mario Kart 8 DLC.
Dragon Driftway is legitimately the best course in the game.
Hyrule Circuit is absolutely AMAZING and is a Zelda fan's wet dream.
Mute City is awesome, as expected.
Those are the 3 best courses.
Wario's Goldmine and SNES Rainbow Road are both okay and pretty much filler to me. They are fine courses but nothing special. Fun to play but not favorites.
Ice Ice Outpost and Yoshi Circuit are *yawn* BORING. So generic. Generic ice level that barely has any ice, and you just race on ugly roads the whole time. I kow that sounds contradictory but it has generic roads and generic ice. Not a theme or anything, and the music SUCKS.
Should I even mention Excitebike? That track is trash. Two looooong ass boring roads with some bumps and mud. Not to mention its in a boring generic stadium. This is a very good concept, take Nintendo's very old racing game that isn't Mario Kart and put it in Mario Kart. Plus, I'm sure it was very easy for developers to make. And it adds even more to the whole theme of this dlc of bringing in other series. But this should have been SCRAPPED. Put ha in the trash!
I haven't tried all of the karts but I like the Blue Falcon and the Jeep.
But everyone buy this DLC! It is very good and Dragon Driftway alone makes it worth the price.
