I do understand some of the criticisms, because it's a lot to take in on a first viewing. But it's such a beautiful, intense, twisted journey that the high points simply overshadow the somewhat clunky/rushed scenes.
Also, it's really ****ing dark at times. Just that scene that you mentioned is some
heavy stuff.
