Well this statement makes sense, but it has little correlation with the OP's statement.
I also don't see why BEP and Gaga would be lumped together given that one was starting out and the other had had various hits before BBP/IGF.
If he simply meant a first #1 followed up by a #1 (not self-replacement), he could have put in LMFAO and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, for example, instead of that arbitrary trio.
