I think Pharrell is probably the best fit- a good mix of being a known, modern artist and also being behind the scenes for lots of great songs. Calvin has that too but... I'd rather not compare any of my faves to him

Totally. Catch My Breath remix by Cash Cash is literally the only one I ever liked.

1D just doesn't have that kind of appeal with their "generic teen girl" mentality approach.

Their approach works well with their main catalogue but I don't think there would be a market for the remixes aside from the superstans.
