I think this tour will be great for Britney!
She gets to focus on the music and dancing.
She will get her confidence boosted back up from the tour which im excited about!

I believe she still lacks the full fledge confidence she had prior to "dare I say his name". That's why her performances seem like "better" than VMAs, when they should be "OMFG MUCH MUCH BETTER" than the VMAs. She's not completely ready to be in front of random crowds of people like before.
That's why the tour should be amazing. She's in front of her fans that she knows want to see her, and she doesn't have to worry about the whole world seeing the show and criticizing her based on the 2007 Performance, instead of improvement.
Edward...saying she "made" Jive release the album, what the hell? I'm pretty sure out of anybody Britney would rather be focusing controlling her own life and getting Sean & Jayden back, before venturing back into a career. You should be saying it the other way around of JIVE taking the fact that she has been perceived more positively, using that as an advantage + a hot ass album to get some more money. Just like they took advantage of her name + hot album last year to get some money.
She's done PLENTY of promotion. Sure, 90% of it has been internationally, but that's because, I believe, outside the US there is still a want for albums. While in the US, they see that the primary want is the singles, and the fact that her name can sell her album is a side factor. Besides, how many artists do you see doing bunches of promo these days? Madonna, Usher, Mariah, a lot of other big names barely did promo for their album outside the area of the initial release, then they went on to tour. Britney's not some puppet like Rihanna who needs to be out there 24/7. The fans on this site are so greedy and disgusting, it's sickening.
I'm happy with what she has done, and I know that I'll be seeing an amazing show on March 5th, plus great videos, and a healthy Idol in the next few months. <333

Rico.
I totally agree with your points. People on this forum need to stop complaining and look forward to the future. It's only been 1 year since "you know what" happenend, and only a few months since she began promoting fully again and it has been about 4 years since she last did full promo.
2009 is going to be Britney's year. She WILL promote, but at her own pace and when SHE want too, not when Jive and her fans yell at her. Once the tour is over, I believe that she will be more confident and relaxed and will probably start doing TV interviews and more sociable promo. But until then, leave Britney alone, and reflect on what she will do and what EPIC stuff she has done.

well, that's your opinion and I stick with mine...yeah, we're greedy, but fans in this site are really ALWAYS exaggerating things...if some random Beyonce or Christina fan comes to the thread, y'all start bashing, or even some go to the other threads and start the bashing...you need to understand, EDIT WE ALL NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT THERE IS NO ONE LIKE BRITNEY, so advice, just let them speak their ISH and ignore them.
now, on the promotion thing...I believe I have the right to speak my mind, just like you...I'm just saying, it would be cool for her to perform and with the "BRITNEY MADE JIVE" I meant, they were on with releasing the album anyway, so I think or I imagine Britney speaking up and saying it would be ok to release it, promote a bit, and the tour...because, remember Britney said the album was set to be released on february-march 09???? so Jive rushed it!!
I love her to dead and I'm going to her concert on march 30, so whatever....

and it's ok, she still needs her space...it's not like it was 10 years ago when se had her last meltdown, it was last year....so, lets all be happy she released a new album, had #1 Womanizer, #3 Circus, and that we are getting a tour....and we'll see what happens....we need to let britney surprise us

hey Rico, just pinpointing this that I also said and that I thought you FORGOT to mention on your speech
UPDATE: Britney's "Circus" 65k on her 5th week, now in final, according to HDD and sits at #5, Taylor #1, Beyonce #2, Kanye #3, Twilight #4, then Britney #5

Correct yourself please. If some random Beyonce or Christina fan comes into this thread and starts bashing Britney, of course fans here would bash back. It's HER thread.
Anyways. So she hasn't performed 6 times in the past month? Like Dizzy said, she's JUST now getting back into promoting an album. It's been 5 years since In The Zone came out, which was the last time she did bunches of promo. To just throw her back out, thinking she'll be okay to do the same level of promo so quickly is just retarded to think about.
Britney never said February/March, as far as I remember. In the OK! interview, she said about 6-9 months, which at the time of the interview would've been (January-March), but despite that Billboard had previously announced a December release date. It also doesn't mean they rushed it. Larry stated they finished the album quicker than they expected, and just planned it while it was complete.

Ya'll can say "whatever" all you want. But you damn well you would be looking dumb as hell if she was put back into stressful situations and broke down again, this time not recovering. Greedy bitches. You know she's working hard in rehearsals for the tour, you know her drive is there. That's enough. Can't see the show? Not my problem.

alright, enough already....I woud like for her to perform, you don't....and as if she visits ATRL every day and reads this, so enough...and you're right, she'll shut a lot of mouths with the tour, including mine...I'm going to Houston on march 30, exclusively for her concert (YES I KNOW IT'S THE 3RD TIME I'VE SAID IT...JUST TOO EXCITED)
and I was kind of remembering, well she did the Live Countdown on MTV, then For the record, GMA, The New York Tree Lighting thing, Ellen...ok, I overreacted, it's just that I miss those days, but you're right Rico, she needs time and I ALSO KNOW AND BELIEVE THAT SHE HAS NEVER LOST THE OLD BRITNEY, IT'S JUST A TRANSITION INTO A NEW, UNDEFEATABLE FIERCE BRITNEY...which will be present on the upcoming tour

Who says I don't want to see her perform? I DO. But I'm not gonna act as if she hasn't done anything AT ALL, as you all are. You're all saying "Britney needs to promote" and **** as if she hasn't. She went home for Christmas, she went to her brother's wedding for New Year's. Can she have a damn life? I'd like to see her perform of course, but I know her situation so I can live with the 6 performances that we have gotten in the last month compared to 1 last year. And me writing this isn't about her seeing it, since obviously I'm speaking to you, so please leave the "smart ass" attitude on the sideline please.
Your last part makes a lot more sense and glad that you see my views and perspective.

This is why they need to push "IYSA" as the 3rd single, and make the ballad the 4th single. They'll be giving up a HUGE opportunity.
