Ya'll are a mess.
Of course music sales are on a decline, but do you think the only reason for no album going platinum this year is because of that? The reason why no album has went platinum this year is because every single artist this year that released an album is either a new artist, or that artist had no hype.
Think of it this way.... In terms of performances, 99% of the performances we've seen this year at the Grammy's, VMA's, BMA's, etc... have been way lackluster compared to previous Grammy's, VMA's, BMA's. The only reason why the performances this year have been lackluster is because most of the artists are new, or don't have any hype. Another way to think of it is to compare the most successful artists of 2013 vs 2014. In 2013, we had Katy, Eminem, P!nk, Gaga, Justin Timberlake and Lorde. And who do we have this year? Iggy, Sam Smith, Ariana, and Calvin Harris.
So before you all say "no albums have been platnium this year because of sales decline", think about the artist and whether they are new or whether they had anticipation and hype prior to their album release.

Can we discus her lyrics this era.
I was under the impression that every song on TPP would have verses similar to Go Hard & Sweet Dreams. Now, I'm not saying Anaconda, Only, and that other song she calls a single aren't bops, but is she REALLY saving the best songs for the album.... I almost feel like I was promised Champagne but instead I got pickle juice.
And don't get y'all fleet enemas in bunch, it's only my opinion.

Honestly, you guys class me as the pop barb because of Starships. And so what? Nicki made Starships a lead single and it sound great and the song went mainstream. At this point , me and Nicki Minaj is like on the same level. Nicki is still classified as a hip hop artist. She did pop once but she still writes her own raps till this day. Hell, Nicki did Bang Bang on a pop song. Pills and potion is pop because the Chrous overshadowed Her verses......
