8-14-14: Shine on & Celebrate the countdown is BACK
Alright now that I am back to doing updates, I'm going to probably do bi-weekly updates to catch up to my most recent chart update. On another note, since my name change, I haven't actually done a chart update.
Chart Analysis
Welp after so many weeks of this song roaming around my top 10 on my countdown, Get Your Shine On lights up my #1 spot. This is the first time Florida Georgia Line has topped my countdown. All but one single of theirs (Round Here) has ended up in the top 5 of my countdown (all eyes will be on Dirt in the near future of course). I don't think there is something signifigantly special, I think this song blended perfectly with the summer sound and is lyrically corny in a funny way. Congrats to this dynamic duo which I recently read in a review for their new album "The Nickelback of Country Music" No lies tbh
As for songs that just started to light up my countdown, Yard Sale (thanks to some promo on collin's part), Break Free, and She Looks So Perfect all gained a lot of traction this week and really embraced the end of summer sound for me. Hideaway can also be said to be holding strongly as it moves up a spot to the #6 spot
This Love Will Survive continues to hold strongly after its 3 week reign at #1 right under the #1 spot. Promise This holds the #3 this week after slaying 2010,2011, 2012, and 2013 in its off and on chart reigns. Roller Coaster also declines from the #1 spot this week which is good since the song has been charting for 16 weeks already
Bartender continues to hold onto the top 10 as they have stayed in the top 10 13 weeks straight, right now at #10. Stay With Me holds strong at #9 as it really holds up well on the countdown.
As for big shifters, in these up and coming weeks, several Alexandra Burke songs will climb the countdown thanks to effect of Choose The Album, Then A Song game. The first real shifters from that game this week is All Night Long, which climbs to #15. Other big songs on the rise are This Is How We Do, which increases 24-19.
