NG Presents: NG's Top 30 Albums of 2008 (#6-5)
6. Brandy - Human
Released: December 6, 2008.
Best Tracks: A Capella (Something's Missing), Right Here (Departed), Human, Fall, Piano Man

This is probably the best R&B album of the year. Every tracks tell a story of love from every angle whether you are in love, going through a break up, trying to get back with someone,
Human got those relationship issues covered. Brandy's vocal is just so soothing and nice, even though,
Human is not "Afrodisiac", it's still an amazing album. The first single, "Right Here (Departed)" is a great single for a new album as Brandy sings with vulnerability and offers her love for music with the listeners. My favorite track is "A Capella (Something's missing)" because the accompaniment of boom clap vocal in the background make the tune stand out. "Fall" is another one of my favorite with a help of Natasha Bedingfield penning the song for her while "Piano Man" showcases Brandy's enduring vocal as she asks the DJ to play a heartbreak song. Brandy's vocal and powerful lyrics are the ingredients throughout
Human, plus her smooth vocal remains, the one we fell in love with since "Sitting in My Room."
5. Santogold - Santogold
Released: April 29, 2008.
Best Tracks: You'll Find a Way, L.E.S. Artistes, Say Aha, Creator, Lights Out

Santogold defines the next generation of amazing music. Her style and sound are just awesome and refreshing to listen to. Santogold's vocal fits right into various genre whether those would be rock-inspiring vocal, reggae tune, urban anthems, or new wave dancefloor tracks. Many compare her style to M.I.A., but I feel that there is more to Santogold as an artist. Santogold’s vocal energy, rhythmic momentum and her tendency to toot, squeak, stutter and shout into the microphone creates a new vibe that made her music pleasurable. Fun tracks like Say Aha, Creator, and You'll Find a Way are filled with in your face attitude and powerful lyrics that define as an immediate instant anthems. While the slower songs like L.E.S. Artistes and Lights Out are performed with sincere and vocal style that's not too over the top. Santogold's self-titled debut is an album that anyone can rock out anywhere at anytime.
Moving into the top 5 tomorrow! woo!
