Why would she and XL have a disagreement? You really think she'd leave XL? And they have no control over her, why would they be clashing?
It's not like we weren't told before that the album could come in 2015. lbr, we haven't gotten the album because she probably doesn't want to be in the public eye again the way she was with 21. The minute she announces/releases anything, all of the attention and press is coming back her way and we all know she hates that.
I don't think its true, I kinda hope not. Isn't XL, as an indie record label, suppose to allow their artists to have more space for creativity? Also XL would be pretty stupid if they decide to pressure Adele after 21. Adele pretty much earned the right to have full ride on her control of her own music. I call bogus

Rumors are rumors as usual, I definitely don't see her clashing with XL, but I also could see her growing out of them in a sense and wanting the bigger tour and such available to her with this album....but can't she already get that with Columbia who is already a Sony label? The "getting her out of the obligation" in regards to the third album is weird, it suggests that she no longer would be required to make a third album (or at least one on XL), but then suggests that she'll go on a massive tour? And the "explains to fans" line is like they've just been reading our posts and want to put out some bs just to be believed and spread. Idk, sketchy story from a sketchy source to me. More likely she's not quite done yet/they want to wait for a more open release time.
This sounds fake, but there's a possibility it could be true. Didn't Paul Moss say the reason XL was predicting a January release was because they refused to release it until they thought it was good enough? If that's the case, then there may have been conflicting views on the new music and Adele may have gotten pissed off and opted to leave XL. It's highly unlikely, but possible. Plus, she's their most successful artist and obviously they're probably putting pressure on her to get the music done as soon as possible and get it done to their satisfaction, which she may not like.
XL Records have in their bank accounts about $ 50 mil or more thanks to Adele. But it seems they don't want to grow, so it doesn't make any sense for them to have Adele. And Adele uses the resourses from Sony/Columbia before and she has with Rob Stringer a british Sony boss she can trust.

And the best thing for us is, that if Sony want her for that money, then they have already heard the new album and they think it's worth it.

The claus about the third album is very interesting and it's a bit clever from Sony to offer her 'no needed albums from you', so that she'll have the freedom do write as much albums as she likes without having the pressure to fill the required numbers. There would be probably be something else in that contract that may do a bad favour to our beloved artist. But from Sony are not dumb and they have to play it save&smart because they can't afford to lose her.

What if XL recently decided to push the album back, which pissed Adele off? If she signs to Sony, maybe we will get new music this year!
