I saw the Girlie Show appreciation thread yesterday, but I didn't comment because I made my admiration of the show quite clear in here a while ago.
Off-topic: A few months ago I remember talking to my mother about the church scandals and how they've changed perceptions of the clergy in Ireland, and she said 'Well, they can't all be like yer man from 7th Heaven, now, can they? It's always been rumoured men went into the church because they weren't comfortable with themselves in "that way", you know?'. We used to watch it on Sunday mornings, it was on before we had to start getting ready for mass (when I was young enough to still be going willingly). Well... look how that turned out.
