Bén only requested to sing live to prove a point due to the National Anthem scandal. And then his vocal was a throaty mess, anyway. It did more harm than good.

You don't HAVE to lip-sync though. Midget Mars seemed like he was singing live this year, and he played instruments onstage and danced as well.
