Btw. Run was also risky ,luckily GP loves it and it's getting all positive reviews .
And they won't make OTR promo single as Jesper already said it's too long on perorders ,but they should already promote Run along with OTR ,it deserves to slay everyone and everything !

That isn't true though
They have planned OTR promo already, so why not try to make the best out of it. With some performances it easily could reach top 10 in the UK, then they could announce Run soon after and get an other UK top 10 out of that aswell.

She has a lot too lose though, her playing in Cats will put the album era already in a tricky position. So why not handle things the logical way and try to make both OTR and Run UK hits.
Scapping OTR will not do many favours tbh, and she always can show what she's worth with Run soon after OTR peaked.

OTR have been on pre-order for two months, if they were really against it as single for the UK, they had enough chances to remove it. It's time to stand behind their choices and take the circumstances, whether we like it or not.

I'm not with you on this. The song didn't even stay in Top 1500 for 1 day. How much do you think it sold? And the music video also didn't do any impact and radios don't even play it.

If she releases Run, it still has the chance to impress with music video. It can do better on radios since it's not risky and kind of song that UK public loves. And she can still perform it on the coming promo slots since there is no need to get ready for it.

On the Rocks is a good song, but no one will even remember it next month and now I'm sure that it won't do ANYTHING on charts. I mean come on, the song is still not on Top 1500 with a performance now. There is not even a ONE single reason to stick with it in the UK. And I really think this bad 2nd single choice will also effect album sales very badly. I'd rather see Run becoming top 20 hit with a few TV performances than seeing On the Rocks being top 100 hit with more performances.

And I really don't know why you guys think they shouldn't leave on the rocks cause of iTunes pre orders. Lol, the song probably sold 200 copies till now. And it won't be a loss if they leave it.

I do agree though that the XFactor performance should be a OTR/Run medley.
Since it seems obvious that Run will be released next in the UK.

But I still stand behind that she should stand behind the single. Ofcourse I am not delusional and I know it is a mess, it probably will underperform, but it's not impossible to get something out of it.

They should just announce Run around the album release as UK 3rd single (or even announce it at the XFactor performance). And she should add it to every album promo oppertunity.

But I wouldn't want it to change OTR destiny, I mean things happen for a reason. There is a reason why she wanted this as single, while there were obviously better choices left on the album. The only reason I don't get is why they only start the promo train now, while the song is basically unknown for most of the GP.

All 3 of the singles mash-up on The XF PLEASE. Ariana did it in Australia, Kelly in the UK, Rihanna on the XF final... a 6-minutes-performance won't hurt anyone.

I'm so disappointed by the live performance. To think that "OTR" could ACTUALLY serve some good live performances ...
Anyway it's too late to scrap OTR. It would make the era look bad. "OTR" could go top 10 if they planned many promo slots. She can go back later this winter to promote "Run", if that's the issue.
