I think Cheek to Cheek is going to have a lot of longevity, both in sales and in repeat listenings. I've literally listened to it at least once a day since the 18th and I'm not bored yet, not even of the Tony solo tracks.
I know someone else brought it up, but I think Tony chose his solos very carefully. Don't Wait Too Long is on there for Gaga to listen to when he is no longer with us. He recognises, I think, that he has stopped her from giving up, and that he has had more of an impact on her life than anyone else recently. I think he knows that when he passes it's going to either drive Gaga to stay as authentic as possible and work harder than ever to make him proud, or send her into deep, deep depression.
Sophisticated Lady is meant, I think, to show that Tony understands Gaga: that he has been in very similar positions to her, and can see a lot of himself in her ('Smoking, drinking, never thinking').
Tony is so good for her. I admire him so much.
