This is the type of season I would be 100% here for but I don't think network would take a risk on it.

The FX CEO said that Ryan and co pretty much have free range. At this rate they aren't going to reject anything, AHS is pretty much their biggest cash cow at this point.

Tbh the main title is usually scarier than the whole season (at least for Coven)

Coven's main title was ***Flawless, so creepy and dark. I wish they would've kept the same kinda theme for the whole season it would've been EPIC. There was so much they could've done with it but whatever I still enjoyed the season a lot and it was my first AHS season I've watched and got me into it.

I'm half here for the idea, but I also know that the show will be dragged for something like that.

I want like a survival season kinda like a horror-filled Lost but they would get dragged so hard for that. It will probably be more in the realms of an apocalypse. Something that takes place at a summer camp also has a lot of potential but that's been done so many times. I'm also here for pirates that could take place in the Bermuda Triangle.

They could do so many things but hey really limited themselves with the title "American" Horror Story, without it they could explore endless possibilities.

Yeah, but Coven was everything BUT horror.
While i enjoyed the season, i re-watched the final episode yesterday just to reminisce. I have to tell you, watching it the first time it aired i thought it was GREAT. Now watching it back, i found it incredibly lame. And this goes for the rest of the season. The horror element was NON-EXISTENT.
It was more like a gruesome comedy/parody instead of horror.

I wish they go back to the Asylum craziness and horror with Freakshow. And judging by the spoilers and info we have so far, they will do that

i would love a season set in the 80s! make it a homage to the 'greed is good' mindless slasher killing horny teen movies of the 80s a la freddy or jason. imagine! set in a summer camp!

i think they could do very fun things with that. it could be a 'lighter' season. i am here for a format where it's a lighter season followed by something very dark.

YASS like a plane crashing on an unknown island in the Bermuda triangle there's so many stuff they can do with that(aliens included).

Season 1 was about infidelity, season 2 about sanity, season 3 about oppression and the upcoming will be about being an outsider/not belonging.

For season 5 or further along I'd like a piece set in the Rocky Mountains, you could include Indians, something with haunted ghost towns or hotels (a la The Shining), being stranded there when the sun goes down, bodies thrown in lakes, crazy mountain men who are serial killers or cannibals, have a theme of loneliness throughout the whole season. Maybe include hallucinations, the cold weather, make it set in the modern day.

It'd be cool if we have maybe 3-4 separate stories going on at the same time then they all conclude together during the final 2 or so episodes a la "Trick r' Treat" movie and slowly hint at it.
