Hmm. Well, my thread was up first, but this looks better.
...okay, mine's gone.
And holy hell, do the movie categories suck, or what? These are some of the worst major film award categories of all time! I mean, it's BAD, even bad for the Globes. I know most of you will be all like, "What?! No TDK?!", and, to an extent, I agree with you, but I think there's a few of us(myself and Bart, in particular) who are wondering to ourselves, "Where the HELL is Milk?" The Globes always tend to go for the more "prestige" films for drama, so it sort of makes sense that TDK got almost completely shut out, but how does that excuse the Globes for not nominating a film that is, almost certainly, going to be nominated for BP at the Oscars?
But hey, nobody watches the Globes anyway, right? And even fewer people will watch this year because of the lack of TDK nominations! Ah, sweet vindication.

Definitely one of the WORST nominees list I've ever seen. I mean, seriously. Not even Heath Ledger being deservingly nominated was able to make it acceptable.

I have not seen a single one of the best picture nominees. People don't watch the GG's anyway so no one will notice this terrible set of nominees anyway.

I'm really glad that Anne Hathaway and 30 Rock got nods. Not overly impressed with the rest...

Including TDK, Wall-E, and Slumdog (which is sure to become a public favorite over the Holiday boxoffice season) in major categories would help heighten interest in these awards.

I expected Dark Knight to do better, but to be honest, I don't mind because I don't really want Oscars and Golden Globes to award a lot of mainstream movies.
Benjamin Button must be an excellent movie and its cast is equally top notch. I am a bit surprised that "The Wrestler" isn't up for best movie because I've heard its quite a stunning film. I have my doubts on "The Reader" and "Doubt" which both received only moderate reviews, but I still look forward to seeing them both. Meanwhile, I think Clint Eastwood should start working on a proper comeback, because as assumed, Changeling wasn't received too well.
