No, because we've already heard several tracks and they were all pretty bad, unoriginal covers of old standards. An album can't be brilliant if several songs are already not brilliant.

Critics are weird when it comes to jazz. Like that Slant review, they should be banned from reviewing. They hate on everything and are generally the worst.

The WSJ review was pretty great though.

It begins:

Translation = before listening to Cheek To Cheek, I'd already decided to negatively review it because of my preconceptions of Lady Gaga.
