When has Katy ever played the victim in any situation?  She accepted part of the blame for both her marriage and her relationship with John ending (see: It Takes Two).
This was a perfect response imo. Anyone that's following the story knows what it's about and anyone that's not will just take it as cute advice 
Good for Taylor for bringing the biggest pop star in the world into her promo campaign this is getting her more attention than anything about her boyfriends would. Out of the whole Rolling Stones article, this is the only part places like Billboard and Buzzfeed are reporting about. She's a smart lady!
