It requires a deeper analysis of the metaphysical elements of the composition of the lyrics, understanding the complex ways in which the continua of art and pop interact with the inner machinations of the human condition in order to unveil the true, raw meaning of the words that she sings. You cannot simply hear or read the lyrics and expect to immediately understand them. Undeniably, you must feel them, live them and experience how the time and effort put into the song's construction in order to unveil the song's esoteric meaning. Once you're able to truly grasp the concept of how she represents the unspoken opposition between these two levels of interpretation, then you'll truly understand the meaning of ARTPOP.

Jewels n' drugs, play that hustle
Smother 'em, if you wanna be bad
Slap honey on a young pancake
We know how to make that money
Jewels n' drugs, play that hustle
Smother 'em, if you wanna be bad
Ain't nothin' if it ain't family
We know how to make that money
Let me get INTO deeply analyzing this!

Stop trying to drag her. This definition of Art pop has nothing to do with Candy Warhol and his Pop Art movement. Gaga's ARTPOP is a reverse Warholian experience and that's why she inverted the position of the words art and pop.

Interesting, never thought of it this way.
But I'm afraid it may be beyond me so can you please deconstruct the true meaning behind this Artpop track?
"Donatella"
[Intro]
I am so fab
Check out,
I'm blonde,
I'm skinny,
I'm rich,
and I'm a little bit of a bitch
[Verse 1]
I wanna dress you up in silk, Taffeta
Tailor these clothes to fit your guilt, what's your size?
This purse can hold my black card and tiara
Versace promises I will, Dolce Vita
[Pre-Chorus]
What do you wanna wear this spring?
What do you think is the new thing?
What do you wanna wear this season?
Donatella
[Chorus]
(I'm smokin em on full tank of gas)
Mi-Mi-Bella
(I'm a rich bitch, I'm the upper class)
All of the day
(I'm the pearl to your oyster, I'm a babe)
I'm gonna smoke Marlboro Lights and drink Champagne
(I smoke Marlboro Reds and drink Champagne)
Donatella
[Post-Chorus]
Cause she walks so bad, like it feels so good
Listen to her radiate her magic
Even though she knows she's misunderstood
Voodoo, Voodoo, Voo-Don-Na-Na
[Verse 2]
Walk down the runway, but don't puke, It's okay
You just had a salad today, Boulangerie
Just ask your gay friends their advice, before you
Get a spray tan on Holiday, in Taipei
[Pre-Chorus]
[Chorus]
[Post-Chorus]
[Bridge]
Check it out, take it in
Who's that bitch, she's so thin (Ooh nah nah nah)
She's so rich, and so Blonde
She so fab, it's beyond
What do you wanna wear this spring?
What do you think is the new thing?
What do you wanna wear this season?
Donatella, Donatella
All of the day
I'm gonna wear designer and forget your name
Donatella, Donatella
[Post-Chorus]
Voo-Don-Na-Na

ARTPOP could mean N E thing, in this case it meant generic EDM music that was intended for the charts but backfired horrifically.

Because she wanted to give extra hype to her album, even though her new songs weren't artistic at all.

It's a terrible album. If the content of the album is the "definition" of ARTPOP, then it was as you said, generic EDM.

We like to pretend that one doesn't exist. Feel free to replace it with Brooklyn Nights.

Can't EDM be artistic tho? All music is artistic expression anyway.
