Monsters truly do possess such a hivemind mentality. If it's not the "general public" they're following, it's other fans. I'm assuming most of you are under the age of 18, 'cause adults not thinking for themselves is kind of embarrassing.

It's a very radio friendly song, so it would've done well there. The song has sold more than "G.U.Y.", so it's a potential seller, and we all know Gaga is the music video streaming chanteuse ("G.U.Y." was a huge flop and both versions of the video combined have 70M views, so imagine the views a smash like "Gypsy" would get.)

The alternate timelines are kind of pointless cause the music would be different if the levels of success were different. Like Artpop is clearly a response to BTW being too edgy and polarizing for most people. But if every BTW single had gone top 5, she would have made a different follow-up album.

I like JL but he really was doing the most today. At least he has time to chill now.

Yeah, I remember thinking that when I was making the Born This Way gifset. I think I made a post about it somewhere in this thread. If I find it, I'll post it.
EDIT:

If the Born This Way era was super successful, then she never would've created any of the 'fall of the blonde' material. Which means she would've never made the 'rise of the phoenix' material. And with her time having to be distributed between promoting the album and the tour, who knows if she would've ever made the Born This Way Ball castle, or noticed Helen Green, or anything that would've created the 'disney high princess' aesthetic. idk it's weird

Mature teenagers.
I mean, I know some people truly feel the way they do, but it's obvious which fans are bandwagoners and which aren't. It's not a coincidence that some people go from loving Gaga when they can brag about her IFPI stats to dragging her when those stats are no longer present.

Cute, but no. G.U.Y.'s execution wasn't flawless. If it was, she would've charted higher, they would've pushed it to try and grab a commercial or SOMETHING that will help get the song out there. Instead they wasted a ton of money to try and let Gags feel like she's a competent director, wasting a once on a lifetime opportunity to use Hearst Castle as a set for something that could've been epic (not some "woe is me" story), and redecorated some Hotels.
Quick reminder about C2C, it is a DUET record. Although Interscope is the main label this go around, Tony's people are still there too. And the execution seems less messy because, honestly, nobody's really checking for it. It's a different market. Less expectations.

Nope, that's not how charting works. Promotion doesn't equal higher charting, which is something stans don't seem to get. If promotion did equate to higher charting, MTN would have been a top ten smash. Everything about the GUY campaign was perfect. It has a great video released at the right time, they put up the edited version, she got promo on two of the biggest TV shows, etc. That's all they could do considering the album was done and over with. GUY and her promo had more to do with getting her name back out there right on time for the tour. Like, you talk about wasting money and then say they should have nabbed a commercial. Exactly what product could a song about bottoming advertise?
And again, no, you're wrong. The C2C promo so far has been amazing and Bobby is the one behind it. How do we know? Because Tony barely promoted his other albums, meaning all this promotion is coming from Gaga's camp. Everything has been on time, deals have been struck with major networks, every major demographic is being targeted. It's a dream come true.
You can either believe the facts or continue on this "everything Gaga does is wrong" bandwagon. That's up to you.

G.U.Y was okay. She did bunch of radio interviews, radios didn't play it, they moved on, why would they spend more money on dead horse? Gaga also said, that ARTPOP film is for fans.
And Bobby is in charge of C2C marketing campaign He's doing a great job.

I don't think they cared about the song's chart performance too much. I think it was more of a creative thing more than a career fixing thing. If they really wanted the song to do well she would have made time to promote the song, but instead she just started the tour.

No amount promo will help if the public isn't here for the song. G.U.Y. had decent promo, but if the song isn't something people want then no matter how many times you push it, it's just not going to happen.
G.U.Y. had a perfect video and it's a good song.
