All I Ever Wanted is miles better than Stronger. My ranking (not counting WIR) goes
1. My December
2. Breakaway
3. All I Ever Wanted
4. Stronger
5. Thankful
Stronger had a better overall era, but the album was very monotone compared to her previous work. All I Ever Wanted at least had a few more experimental songs on it. The era as a whole however was very poorly put together, its like they basically gave up after MLWSWY and just kept putting out singles for no reason
I think the first half of Stronger is better than almost everything on AIEW.
But AIEW is a more consistent album. I do listen to that album the most as a whole.
I agree. I posted it a few pages ago that MKIA-Stronger-DS-Honestly-YLM are absolutely flawless and if the rest of the album was of this quality, it might have been on Breakaway level. Remember when Kelly said that they hadn't included some songs on Stronger because they were so good that it would be a big waste if they becamed only album tracks and they had been replaced by other songs? Well, I think we can feel it.

I'll never forget what she said. This was so hard, like why an artist like her would hold back herself and only put some effort into the singles, even though they flop. Next album must be tip - top.

I think that when they were making Stronger the album, they already decided that she would release a GH album next year so it was clear that the era would be short. Maybe they were / are saving the best songs for her next era to make it a Breakaway-sized slayage for few years? I don't know.
By the way I doubt we will hear the leftovers someday, Kelly's somewhere different now than she was in 2010, I think she'll just scrap the so-call super songs probably about empowerment and break-ups and write new ones about her new love, motherhood and getting the D.

Do you realise Kelly's not gonna sing about sex, right? She's too shy and won't show anything to the director
I'm here for her collecting her best leftovers + the "too good to be just album tracks" songs + brand new songs that slay like Catch My Breath, putting them into one album and having her "21"
or 35
. And going multiplatinum.

Yeah I was kind of disappointed she kept tracks off the album.
She was basically admitting "I want to have hit singles, so i'm keeping some good songs off the album so they can be singles in the future".
She should care more about making a great overall piece of work, she can always create new great songs in the future for the next album, stop holding back Kelly.
The ironic thing is that Greatest Hits came next, then Wrapped In Red, then she got pregnant, so it kind of ruined her plan anyway because they started work on new material for the album. So we might never even hear these tracks.
If she scraps these songs, someone go kidnap her with her laptop/ipod and force her to leak them
The best thing about Kelly having a really good album (smash singles and proper album tracks, no fillers) is that her career will finally recover and more A-list producers will want to work with her. Or A-list singers, maybe we'll finally get that dream collab
Like One More Yesterday. Hopefully it's a love song so it can fit the new album.
Omg. I forgot about the whole Daughtry duet mess.
I don't think we'll ever hear that one unless she puts it as a bonus track on the next album. I would've loved to hear the scrapped AIEW song they did too called Temporary. Nick Lachey used it with Kara Dioguardi.

Yeah I think she was thinking like "Oh we already have Stonger and that's going to be a huge hit so I can save these songs for the future". I mean why not have a album with only quality single worthy songs? And speaking about single worthy, why only release three singles? I mean Stronger sold 2 million WW. It could've sold at least a few 100k more if she released one or two more singles. But then again I do agree that there was no guarantee hit on the album left but hey take a ****ing risk.
If you want to save some songs for the future, just release a ****ing EP then. If Stronger was a EP and it was basically this:
1. Stronger
2. Dark Side
3. Let Me Down
4. Honestly
5. Mr. Know It All
6. You Love Me
7. The War Is Over
Then imo the album would not only be better but it would be a much bigger profit. I really don't understand why the **** Labels aren't releasing EP's now.

EP is like half of a traditional album (with 12-14 tracks) so it's half the price (if you look from the customer's point of view, otherwise Stronger would've been still worth the same)
She has released EPs, they did poorly but noone has put ANY effort into promoting them. If they did a proper release of the EP with new versions of her songs, it would've gone gold already
Let's be honest Stronger was just way too long anyway.
1. Mr. Know It All
2. Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)
3. Dark Side
4. Honestly
5. You Love Me
6. I Forgive You
7. The War Is Over
8. Let Me Down
9. Alone
10. The Sun Will Rise
Bonus:
11. You Can't Win
12. Breaking Your Own Heart
13. Don't You Wanna Stay
That kind of slays. Just take out the filler and move it to the bonus tracks.
This. I agree, the album is too long. The fact that 'Dont Be A Girl About It' even made the cut is criminal
Random, but if Kelly were to release Ready To Go as the lead single of the new album next week or whatever with a massive radio deal and promotion, what do you think the public reaction would be? Hit or Flop?

I don't know, I have mixed feelings about this song
I like the song but it would need a different production imo...
Still I see it flopping tho

Wow, I've never heard about this song before. But I really like it, it sounds very AIEW-ish, it would fit there well. Kelly's voice would slay this song. Who's Nick Lachey by the way? Did he released the song or is it just a demo?

I say flop. People aren't used to something like by Kelly. Some even had problems with 4 Carats. I think Kelly will be dragged a lot because of trying to sell sex like this. She would have to bring her Duets body and change her style and I don't think it would work for her. If she wants to sing about sex, she can surely find more mature and less aggressive ways to do it. I think I wouldn't mind something like Lily Allen's Close Your Eyes but overall I'll prefer for the new album themes similar to Winter Dreams, Only You by The Platters or I'll Cover You from Rent.

If the chorus were stronger, i think it would be a decent hit for kelly. It's something very different for her both music sounding, and lyrically. There's something very katy perry "walking on air" about it......
The GP clings onto any song with a catchy hook, which Ready to go has, so i dont think it would matter if it's Kelly singing because it's not her "norm".
Oh and AIEW duluxe>> AIEW standard>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>STRONGER album. Deal with it
