There's only threads from up to 2005 on regular stuff.
However they've kept almost all 'Your Top Ten' threads since that's the only section of the site that has been there since the absolute beginning. You can find threads from as far back as 2001 in that section.
1) Hip-Hop and R&B are two different genres. It's true that in the past 20 years, many R&B hits had/have a harder more agressive beat than your typical R&B tune would have. Sub-genres like New Jackswing (which dominated the late 80's/early 90's) and Hip-Hop Soul (which dominated R&B in the 90's and so on) etc have furthered this more Hip-Hop/Pop based R&B movement. But anyway, my point is, R&B is a true genre while Hip-Hop is more trendy and disposable (not all Hip-Hop though). I think that we should stop assuming R&B is a trend because it's ruling the charts since the founding of Billboard.
2)The fad known as Hip-Hop is already going into remission. Want proof ? Look at 2005 in music.

“We’re driving in the car and of course I text and drive. He called the police on me and said, ‘My mom is texting and driving right now.’" She responded by throwing his phone out the car window in order to avoid a run-in with the police. “Of course I text and drive.”
I wonder how ATRL will be like in ten years? Or how the pop lane will have changed... ATRLers on 2024 will know me as the original new Prince of Pop Sam Smith stan
I've just heard the song Michael Jackson wrote and performed along with a number of artists at the United We Stand concert in DC.
The line-up of the finale number included Michael Jackson, Britney, Justin from 'N Sync, Nick BSB, Mariah Carey, Mya, Anastacia, Debelah Morgan, Usher, Destiny's Child (?) and many more I cannot identify
Most of them did not sound terribly good, but Debelah's vocals could be heard clearly through the chorus as well as her solo lines with an incredible high note (I bet MC was dead jealous :wink just before first chorus. There were more high notes, some by DM and some by MC, I can almost tell which is which, the quality is not perfect as it's a live recording.
The song is beautiful btw, well done to MJ for writing such a gem (You Rock My World is hundreds times worse!).

Rihanna for sure... and thank god! That talentless b*tch and her tone deaf voice need to go back wherever they came from. "If It's Loving That You Want" is nowhere near a hit, especially when you consider "Pon De Replay" was #2 for several weeks (thank god again she was denied a #1). In any case, she is an egotistical, busted, flash-in-the-pan artist and I could not be happier. She is THE one hit wonder of the year!
lmao @ the entire thread thinking Rihanna is a one-hit wonder
