Swine isn't a bad song, they just did the production all wrong.
It's way too sterile and boring on the album. There's no exciting climax or sense of adrenaline, hence why I only use an adapted Swinefest one which knocks.

This. Everything new is her best since blank. I was very excited by ARTPOP when it first came out. It definitely isn't that awful (it's fun to claim so). Some of the tracks are refreshing to hear from her (Fashion, Sexxx Dreams, & DWUW) while some sound familiar (GUY, Applause). Some tracks are offensive at first listen (Venus Swine) but have a lure to them. So it isn't tragic. Unfortunately, it is as though someone pulled random 15 tracks from Gaga's iTunes and made it into one album. To make it worse, little of these songs are to her best ability.

Donatella is...
Good songs:
Sexxx Dreams, DWUW, ARTPOP, Fashion, Swine, Dope, Gypsy, Applause.
Ok songs: Aura, Venus, G.U.Y., MANiCURE, J&D,
Bad songs, like very, very bad: Donatella & Mary Jane Holland

There's nothing to understand on Artpop. It's a very vapid record. It NEEDED a concept, as every album does, otherwise it becomes very confused and directionless, which isn't a pleasant listening experience.
You could argue the TFM fear thing was made up, but it worked. As an album it had a real, foreboding atmosphere. No one could tell me ARTPOP means anything because it's all over the place.

This is a great way to explain it, and I agree completely.
The only songs I still listen to (since I care more about KPOP anyways) are Gypsy, MANiCURE, Aura, Applause, GUY, and Venus.
Swine is weird to me. I like it, but only because I have a video treatment in my head where she's dancing in a muddy pig pen during the verses and then slaughtering pigs with human faces on them, like Perez and Troy, during the break downs.

That's a good point, and vapid is what so many people seemingly wanted. I hope this makes people realize that letting her do what she wants to do is the best way for her to create her best music.

The main reason I love songs like Aura, Applause and MJH is because they truly are subversive ARTPOP.
It's what I expected from an album titled like that. I was hoping for experimental 7-minute tracks, crazy tempo changes and beat switches, and instead we just got a load of songs following the same structure with meaningless, half-baked lyrics

Good songs: Applause & DWUW (thank goodness Interscope chose the singles)
Listenable: Fashion!, G.U.Y. & Gypsy
I kinda enjoy it even though I shouldn't: Jewels n drugs & MJH
Bad: the rest

Woo lord best lyrics on ARTPOP, along with dope.
Psychedelic, self-indulgent, just as you'd expect from a record titled as such. Not 'just ask your gay friends their advice' and 'Aphrodite lady, seashell bikini'

The one good decision that was made for this album was changing the trainwreck-that-could-have-been 'I Wanna Be With You' to Dope

So we all agree that Artpop is Gaga's wrst album lyrically and production wise(except DWUW even tho the genius that is DJWS sampled it) right?

Aw, come on, 'Donatella''s lyrics are purposely the way they are because she's writing from Donatella's point of view! I mean, she could've slurred her words a little more to get the real Donatella effect, but then you wouldn't be able to understand her.

Can we stop talking about ARTPOP? I don't want to be reminded of its existence. Let's talk about the future.
Which rapper do you want Gaga to work with (if any)? Keep in mind she's kinda B-list now so not everyone wants to work with her. Kanye has kinda declined as well so maybe him? Hmm T.I. would be nice.

Lyrically YES, the overproduction, though, is on pair with her previous releases.

T.I is the only male rapper that I like, so him. but with a good production... not another j&d mess.
