If Gaga did that, when things don't go as planned (success-wise) we'll all say "Oh no no, she should have done it this way, oh what could have been "
On a less serious note, I just want one MEGAHIT. Even if the rest of Album 5 is a flop I want a 10M seller that's huge just because it's the biggest middle finger to so many people here. I know that's so far out of reach, but still....

Have you guys heard about her doing 2 more BTW Balls in London? I'm taking this with a grain of salt, but still.

Are you implying that monsters are inconsistent and never happy?
I don't find a megahit out of reach. If she plays the game, she'll get it. Just a question of how much - if at all - she's willing to compromise.

Except, she is. Do you guys think someone in bad shape would be able to perform several times a week for two hours straight all while traveling around the world? Where is the common sense? Why are you guys brainwashed into thinking skinny = healthy? Ironically, she wasn't in good shape during The Fame since her weight was dictated by drugs.

shes not even attractive. #1 gorgeous/flawless/immaculate/stunning/etc female on this planet and galaxy, but not sexy/attractive.
ive only ever heard guys compliment her ass.

Gaga sells sex, just not in a "you want to have sex with me" kind of way. Like, when she uses sex in her videos or outfits, the goal isn't to get people aroused, the goal is to either gross people out, intrigue them, or make them think.

Female weight issues have been so condemned by media that now they're like the racists ones, you can't say a word without being judged ( ), Gaga is not fat but there's no denying she has put on a few extra kilos. That's fine by me but don't come and say that this is her healthiest ever, what kinda fallacy? She's not healthier now than for example when she shot G.U.Y. where by the way I think she was in her ideal weight.

When she sang Telephone at the artRave she was literally right ontop of me. If I were a few inches taller I could've reached up and touched her glittery boot. SO glad I got GA tickets to that show. Best time at a concert ever tbh

If she sings the right song and balances her artistic expression with the best producers she can easily have another Telephone or even Bad Romance sized hit. Poker Face sized hits are once in a career moments, though; that's not happening again.

Because women, especially famous ones, are already scrutinized for their weight every single day and are expected to look a certain way in order to be accepted. We all know she gained weight, we're not ****ing stupid, but there is literally no reason to continue bringing it up. Maybe if fans were like, "she should lose weight so she can perform better," it'd be different, but most of these people are like, "she needs to lose weight because THAT'S WHAT I THINK IS BETTER LOOKING." What you think is pretty when it comes to someone else's body is completely and utterly irrelevant.
Nearly every single fan who has gone to the show has said she is amazing and looks amazing, so obviously her "weight" isn't affecting anything at the moment. At the end of the day, you can say what you want, but people can call you out for it if they so choose.

She is definitely healthy when it comes to her body. IDK about on the inside, though, since she still smokes and drinks. One of the best ways to know if someone is healthy or not is how well they react to intense physical movement over a prolonged period of time. Gaga being able to successfully pull off a two hour show while still being able to sing, is a huge sign that she is healthy and in shape. Pop stans, mostly gay men, don't really get how female bodies tend to work. She's almost 30 so her body isn't going to remain the way it was six years ago when she was pretty much a child. Genetics, aging, general health, etc. are all factors that go into play when it comes to how someone's body changes. Gaga confirmed that she works out every day, so her body being the way it is, is simply the way it's going to remain.

Slay sis, which show was that? Ugh I had a GA ticket (second LA show) and somehow got stuck under a runway for most of the show. I was pretty hammered and arrived late tho It slayed me, but I never got that close to ha I was close at TMB, and I was miles away for the BTWB

The Detroit show. It was crowded as all hell but I squeezed my little self right up to the front and got under the runway to see her.
It's a good thing monsters aren't a rowdy bunch usually. I just pushed the little gheys out of my way and got to see the Queen of Pop right up close I wish I could go again as GA. I saw the Chicago show, too, but that was in the seats. It was cool because our seats were cheapies off to the side up high but you could see her getting ready behind the stage. It was pretty cool actually.

I don't think we're getting a new album next year. Yeah, she needs it and Interscope probably wants to release it but she will be "I need a rest, a big breath until I can come back in shape" and then tweet everyone and their mother that she's coming for wigs the next era, plan everything in advance just to change it the week before the lead single drops and then go media blackout in the middle of the next era.
Am I the only one excited to hear the second single of the next era?

You might be right. Maybe the next era will be way messier and we wont get even one video. Only just a lead single announcement

ARTPOP, the era, reminds me a little of Michael Jackson's HIStory era. Massive aspirations by the artist (to the point of nutty grandeur), a record that was viewed by many as a bit all over the place by some critics when it dropped, multiple genres on the album that don't necessarily flow and very clearly the intention that the brand of the record would continue beyond that album.
Of course HIStory sold 22 million copies (as a double-disc album), had a 4.5M tour attendance, produced the first song to ever debut at #1 (You Are Not Alone) on the Hot 100 and gave Michael his best-selling UK single (Earth Song) but that's a separate comparison

The future isn't bright but we must stay strong. In the meantime, become a part time Angelina stan.
"a hybrid can withstand these things" etc.

Please don't compare Gaga to MJ. HIStory was many many years into MJ's career. Us Gaga stans have been suffering throughout the majority of her career now and she's barely been around for half a decade.

OK so I decided to have the Little Monster Awards / Team Jolie Awards part 2 this week but this time I will just come up with the categories and y'all will nominate. The only requirement is that you will need to have at least 25 posts in the Gaga base thread to be eligible for a nomination + sign up as a Team Jolie member in the Angelina base thread. I think that's fair.
