I mean, I always have higher expectations when it comes to Taylor. I love her pop bops, but I also want her to record more mature tracks. As far as Katy and Rihanna are concerned, I only want bops, meaningless and catchy bops.

Her voice suits radio perfectly and she can succeed without being a powerful vocalist. However, by going pop she bares all her weaknesses, that's just my personal opinion. As a country singer Taylor was one of a kind. As a pop girl, she's on a Katy Perry and Rihanna level of talent. Can't sing, can't dance. I will stan for her no matter what (I mostly stan for untalented singers), but I don't see her becoming the "princess" of pop.

I don't think she's trying to do that though. Like, just because it's going to be a documented pop album doesn't mean it's all going to be like that. And look at the iconic Red pop-jam performances we got that slayed. But we shall see.

Can people stop acting like she's going to lose her amazing songwriting by going pop this era? Sure SIO is no All Too Well, but neither was WANEGBT I don't get why people are so worried because the same thing happened with WANEGBT and Red is an amazing album

She's young, only 24, if she wants to do fun, pop album, let her be. She won't keep making pop albums until she's like mid-30, she knows that people would get sick of her singing the same generic, meaningless pop songs in her mid-30.

Maybe the meltdowns during WANEGBT era were just as bad like this or even worse

I think she was a little bit nervous?
She seems not confident with what she performed, I guess
I hear any doubt in her voice
And she tried so hard to look having fun on stage
And suddenly her hand moves a la Speak Now suddenly back
because that's who she truly is
And accept it
She's a great artist who's great at playing instruments
She cant dance at all, and her voice is unstable
Maybe playing instrument helps her to know the key
Give her guitar back
She's such a talentless popstar if she keeps doing this, this era

it's like no matter how many times Taylor proves herself, people still seem to expect the worst from her She has said she knows what we like, and always does what she thinks we'll like so she won't be ditching amazingly written songs this era.
Besides, songwriting is her passion- so she'll always have amazing singer-songwriter songs as long as she lives. Even if her fans didn't care about them.

I'm sorry bae, but let's call a spade a ****ing spade!! Don't say Taylor is immature, and bash her all of the time. You can't even act with dignity/decency when it comes to the Beyonce stans k?! It's kind of like the pot calling the kettle black, yea??
Love you bae, but tone down this shade. It's a bit uncalled for and completely unnecessary

You are my biggest meltdown right now tbh.
Shake It Off brings nothing to pop music and if I want to listen to a generic pop, I can always skip to Katy.
But yeah, you're right. Let her be, let her have fun. It's just a first single, we still haven't heard the full album. Maybe it's different and there's still hope.
If not, I'll enjoy Taylor no matter what. I'm not a country guy. For me, she could start wearing wigs.

I said if she keeps dancing awkwardly on stage
Because the point of this performance :
Her clever joke
And her belting
and the male dancers, not her ass-shaking
