Completely missing the point. People are upset because it's about her continually not fulfilling promises or following through with things she says she is going to do. That is 100% frustrating as a fan, and trying to deny that or laugh it off in defense of her isn't working anymore. Who wants to stan for someone who constantly says 'oh you guys are gonna be getting this, this, and this and it's gonna be really cool and allow you to fully understand my vision of the music / project / whatever' and then she doesn't do or release anything and then just forgets the idea ever existed / that she ever promised her fans those things in the first place. Not to mention, when she promises brand new music that is meant to be an extension of her album, it should be expected that her rabid fan base will take issue with the music she promised never being released.
This one incident in particular is not something SO unforgivable, but rather it's the last annoying straw for a lot of people. I'll always stan for the fact that she can sing circles around a lot of these pop girls and that she's a gifted songwriter, but I'm not gonna stan for an artist who can't fully execute their vision and keep their promises. And the fact that I and so many other of her fans feel that way is completely warranted and justified.
