There's really no connection between the perfume and the app.
And really, how disappointing would it be if the countdown ended and the surprise was "new perfume".

About the editing, it's very reminiscent of a KPOP video. American/Western videos don't often have very quick cuts so it comes off messy, but in reality it's a conscious editing choice to keep viewers on their toes.
